>best abandonware ever
>>
It's Sim Tower for me

Just a weird game, from what I remember. Fun, but weird. It was not easy to control your colony, and I usually got wiped by fire ants
>>
do all those EA games that can't be re-released like NFS and Burnout count as abandonware?

OP here. If you don't feel fucking around with DOSBox, here's the game in a browser:

I played this on my family computer, too, and enjoyed it. But, it was also hard to "win." If you ever took your time building your colony, the game inevitably sent spiders and RAID and time-outs and whatnot. If you actively sought out invasion of another colony or the house, it was almost impossible.

Still, it was neat until I played Command & Conquer.

>we almost got a spiritual successor
>two of the founders of the project legally cucked the main founder
>they spent the millions of kickstarter cash on hookers and blow
>the other guy can't even make a new project because the other two now own the rights
Fuck this gay earth

The best part of that game was digging an intricate maze of tunnels for your fellow ants except maybe leading a squad of ants to attack a caterpillar for food. It was really hard to progress in that game but if you managed to get inside the house the terrain would change and there would be things like electrical outlets and normal flooring instead of grass.

Technically any software that is not being currently sold by the manufacturer or any company is considered abandonware. An example would be Terranigma. I think it was only re-released on WiiWare (could be mistaken), but since Wiiware is no longer available, it's once again abandonware.

Based Sim Tower poster. Some terrorists tried to extort money from me with a bomb threat. I told them to take the bomb threat, shine it real good in the light, turn it sideways, and stick it straight up their candy ass. The police found the bomb.

Was that before or after Unlimited?
