He's half right, Looking Glass and Origin games are annoying to run on anything made in the last 10 years and require basically an entire day to set up.
Even on original hardware, they were finicky unless you happened to have the exact set of hardware the devs intended for you to have. Although this mostly applies to the first game, 2 and onward work much better for some reason.

More games should have used the Dark Engine.

you are making me feel fucking disgusted

I wish Dromed wasn't such a convoluted relic and a complete unintuitive mess to create levels with, I have a great idea for a level but that program looks downright medieval, there isn't even mouselook

I have a cool idea for a texture mod, would I have to use dromes to create it? Or can I somehow open the image textures directly and have the game load that?

Thread tax: The Black Parade is great, feels a lot like what a 3rd Classic Thief game would've been. Levels are s little too labyrinthine for my taste, but getting lost is half the fun.

Looking for FMs to scratch that Thief 1 itch, none of that custom asset shit, preferably something similar to Schlock's style. Give me your recommendations, I played most stuff from the recent anniversary competitions.
>>
Thief 3 worth a try? The LGS had a copy for ten bucks.

my ranking is 2 > 3 > 1 but just get it on steam for 99 cents or whatever

didn't see mystery man, sepulchre of the sinistral, pirates ahoy, the unsung villain, saints and thieves, and seven shades of mercury there so i'll recommend those
also based for rating augustine's revenge high

there's a bunch of dudes working on a new editor. it's coming along nicely.

Why are moss arrows so useless in DS? They were useful literally once in the entire game
Also seconding seven shades of mercury

You think some hammer or mechanist novice built some videogames when no one was looking?
