Gex 3 runs on the same engine as Soul Reaver and actually came out on N64 if you wanted an idea of how it would play. It's totally viable but the FMV and much of the voice acting would have to be removed or compressed to Hell for a 32MB or 64MB cart.

Shadows of the Empire on PC had FMVs but the N64 port relied on comic book style cutscenes and that was an early N64 titles. Soulreaver could absolutely be done on N64.
