That bit of time between when every game was getting voice acting but before developers thought to allow you to skip cutscenes was something else.

I only played KH1 for the first time as an adult ~3 years ago but I remember thinking the character animations and expressiveness started out bad and then seemed to get better toward the end of the game, like they didn't go back to the earlier stuff they worked on to touch it up, did I just imagine that?
