>>11108507People knew it existed in my area, it was even constantly in talks well before its release in a "can't count to 3" kind of statements, even so much that I still remember seeing the arcade marquee just being "Three". The game just fell out of favor fast as it didn't feel as naturally smooth as prior iterations. Even I sort of gave up on it returning to other more satisfying fighting games like the Marvel Vs. or Alpha series, but it was only in talks and self discovery that the Japanese arcade scene really saw the beauty in 3S and continued to have a thriving community that developed gods and legends. I still regret to this day I did not have any money to join my friends in going to EVO who were in that crowd where that iconic moment happened where the Japanese players showed their passion and talent in 3S that reinvigorated life back into the game. I am so happy now to see people discovering one of the old gods in Hayao's Hugo recently, and I'm hoping they'll learn of others like RX with his amazing Urien. Much respect for those who stuck with the game, when no one else did, that can bring some really epic moments.
