Why didn't Tecmo make any Ninja Ryukenden games for the SNES?
Don't know
They did
>>11352562It's too slow.
I wonder what Ninja Gaiden for the PS1/N64 would have been like, like Mega Man X4 or a full fledged late 90s 3D hack n slash?
>>11352578Those are just the NES games without any enhancements on a SNES cart.
>>11352589Trilogy came out after the PS1 and Tecmo games were all sport/raising sim shovelware until DOA2U, so go figure.
>>11352562Each ninja garden sold worse than it's predecessor and tecmo sports games did quite well during the early launch period. Trilogy had a small production run and did not sell at expectations
>>11352589Probably something like Strider 2 (1999)
>>11352562They were done with the series. The only reason the Game Gear and Master System games exist are because Sega licensed the name and developed them in-house.
Recorded Ninja Gaiden sales in Japan:1: 85k units2: 330k units3: 22k unitsTrilogy: no records>>11352589Depends when it would have released.IMO it could only have been 3D starting with 1999 onwards. Nobody could have made a fast paced 3D hack' slash before then, especially if it has platforming.
>>11352589They basically could've made mega man zero before mega man zero was a thing, across SNES/PS1/GBA that was at least 3 chances to release a new game
>>11352562the second one was already a chore and people fatigued by the third. it wasnt as cool anymore and the difficulty turned people off. they were eager to play the original NES game because of the cool cache of a good, edgy ninja game with anime cutscenes, but it was not enough to stomach the constant stage setbacks and knock-back punishments they trolled you with
>>11352562They didn't make any for any other console until the Xbox.
Better question is why they decided to include Ryu Hayabusa in DoA, he's actually been in it since the very first game in 1996. It's certainly cool but it's just so random
We need a modern ninja gaiden Souls like
>>11352828The only noticeable enhancements that we would see from NES games that made to SNES were mostly graphical, since NES had nearly the same gameplay capabilities. Once I had my SNES I saw no reason to play again the same titles with these updated graphics and same gameplay that I already had played on NES before.
