PLEASE tell me how to emulate Saturn games :(
>>
You delete system32.
>>
>>11354392
Nothing's happening :(
>>
>>11354398
You have to reboot afterwards.
>>
Is there anyone kind enough to help?

What did Tillis mean by this
>>
>>11354385
I beat this game before
Don't bother, it's bad
>>
>>11354415
It's so complicated
>>
>>11354427
Yabause then
>>
Saturnfag falsefag thread to perpetuate the meme that Saturn is impossible to emulate and all the complaints about its inferior game library are sour grapes.
>>
>>11354595
Little of both honestly
>>
Is using RetroArch now arcane knowledge for late zoomers?
>>
>>11354656
I don't want that crap on my computer just for one system
>>
>>11354671
>And don't say 4, give me a real answer
>>
>>11354672
daft analogy, Retroarch isn't even a proper emulator

Get SSF, anon, pretty easy to set up and boasts pretty good compatibility.
>>
>>11354427
>download mednafen
>download saturn bios and put it in the firmware folder (or just the mednafen folder, it will check both in case of retards)
>drag & drop rom/iso on mednafen.exe
>press alt-shift-1 to configure controls
>follow displayed instructions (it wants you to do the same input twice in case you are spastic)
You then just play your game. No, you specifically aren't allowed to change anything else, you'll ruin it.
>>
>>11354427
Download a frontend for Mednafen or use Beetle Saturn (which is the Mednafen Saturn core) in Retroarch
Mednafen is the most accurate Saturn emulator

10/10 image just in general

I tried your method and no matter what I do I'm stuck on this screen. Looks like mednafen is still not out of beta.
>>
>>11354385
Use Mednafen or the Beetle Saturn core in Retroarch
>>
Why's everyone on /vr/ such a jerk when emulation is talked about?
>>
>>11355731
Half the people here are retro hardware purists or technically illiterate boomers and zoomers who can't work out how to play a game on an anything other than a console.
>>
>>11355731
Because this is the console-worshipping nintendofag board
>>
>>11355725
read what your picture says carefully and download the right version of mednafen
>>
>>11355730
SLOOOOOW
I emulate Dreamcat at almost 100% speed and it's from next generation. What can't Saturm emulation run al full speed?
>>
>>11355725
Seems there's a broken downloader in your chair or couch. Fix that.

>>11355731
Because playing tech support online is annoying and thankless. Half the time whoever you are speaking to disappears for half an hour to do literally fuck all and break extra things (never their fault, obviously). People seem to get worse and worse at finding easily available information, let alone follow it. Explaining things is a herculean effort, so you just need to make documents with pictures for them. Having to do actual boomer level tutorials for people who are supposed to be hobbyists is depressing.
>>
>>11355793
Software rendered graphics and interpreter CPU emulation. Use SSF or Kronos if you want something faster.

>>11355793
The Saturn was a convoluted mess of subsystems all with multiple processors and memory pools that had to be tied together and synchronised making emulation difficult. The Dreamcast despite being faster had a more straight forward design with a single CPU and GPU.
>>
>>11355793
Try Yaba Sanshiro 2 on your smart device, anon. You might have to mess with the settings first since for whatever reason they have everything set to max by default. Also some games run better than others since it's Yabause

This is why I tell people to play SEGA CD and 32X instead, literally better experience and libraries all around. Either that or as you said just play Dreamcast, most of the games have superior ports or sequels on there. A lot of them are also on PS1

>>11355862
It's also just better in general imho. Like why play Saturn at all when Dreamcast has Tony Hawk
>>
>>11355793
Try a different game, 2D games tend to run faster usually
