Good game. 1ccing without a guide might be hard though, there is a very specific place where you can get lots of points to get all the extra lifes.

This game really nails it in terms of atmosphere. The castle is covered with moss and cobwebs, and lots of cool and creepy environments. It feels like a Hammer horror film.

given it was released in 2010, I think marketing was trying to pounce on weebs and figured using their lingo would do the trick. Remember that this was relaesed in NA in 2010, years before the modern phenomenon of almost everyone being on the internet all the time. This isn't much different from one of the naruto ninja storm games where they printed DATTEBOYO on the end of the back of the box blurb.

I was trying to do it no-death but I ended up losing 1 life in stage A, and 1 life in stage B. Kept going anyway because I was too close to the end.
I played this game too many times and it's still as enjoyable as ever.

I played Imperishable Night! Reimu/Yukari.
My fight against Marisa was incredibly close, it went down to no bombs, last life. I've never gotten this far in the game before, so each time it just kept going I was shocked. I did manage to barely beat her, for the first time ever!
This game is really fun! I wasted very few bombs so I'm not sure what I need to do better to get further other than just practice more. I'll come back and try the other teams and then move onto Phantasmagoria.
