Whining is a lot easier (and more productive tbqh) than spending hundreds of hours getting to the point where you can struggle your way through Japanese texts, with excessive use of dictionaries, and still not grasping the entire meaning at the end of it, and then having to constantly use the language so you don't forget it.Just wait for GPT 6 or something when they've finally cracked it and you no longer have to care about fantranslations.

And Nagisa's countless mis-spoken kotowaza throughout the series, from 爪の垢を煎じて食う(飲む) to 背水の瓶(陣) to 火に石油(油)を注ぐ, and more, while corrected by someone nearby, will throw off anyone who wasn't aware of them beforehand.And then being able to make out what the fairies are saying at all half the time is another quality bit of listening that is sure to filter out the inexperienced listener.These are all just examples that come immediately to mind, but suffice it to say that ANY native work, even if it's "easy," is going to be difficult for you for a long time just because there's no quick or easy way to acquire a lot of what would be considered common knowledge for a native.You CAN do it, but understand that it's gonna suck all kinds of ass for a long time and that the only cure for the pain is to read more and to listen, even if that's the source of the pain to begin with.
I like that they did the demo. It has me excited for a new game to play on my Saturn. Hopefully they do 3 and 4 eventually.

I only realized when I watched it years later that I was following along very well, it's just that the show is really fucking weird.I do recommend starting with a show for literal babies and working your way up though. I went with Cocotama and enjoyed it very much.
It's quite simple: you and your weird online friends produce a decent fan translation in a timely manner and without shitty memes, censorship or letting your tranny friend dub the intro then me and my headmates won't gang stalk you for the next decade.
