I actually like Marble Zone. I find lava levels to be very comfy in general, for some reason.

I think Sonic 1 is pretty bad. Green Hill Zone is the only really fun zone, like they tried to trick you with this marketing stunt. I'm going though it right now. Can't clear the Labyrinth Zone "boss." It's just such a punishing game.

Disliking Marble Zone is a modern meme. It was a well liked zone back in retro, or at least not disliked or hated. Also Spring Yard Zone best zone in all of Sonic.
