How are the Capcom Generations ports on the PSX? I read some of the are arcade perfect.
>>
>>11393991
I've only played a handful. The Street Fighter one is considered one of the best home ports up to that point. It was also notable because it was one of the ONLY places to play Super Ghouls n' Ghosts without rampant slowdown all over, but I believe the audio got a downgrade.
>>
>>11393991
I played the Makaimura/GnG collection under that line.
Ghosts 'N Goblins is an arcade perfect port
Ghouls 'N Ghosts is arcade perfect but it's super dark for some reason and you have to turn your brightness up
Super Ghouls 'N Ghosts is SNES perfect, no slowdown, and they added transparency to the water in level 2. I don't know what >>11394136 is saying, music sounds fine to me
On Ghosts 'N Goblins and Ghouls 'N Ghosts, you have infinite continues and you can't set it to limited, which is the worst part about the port

>ports
Who the fuck plays ports in 2025?
>>
>>11394168
They have cool bonus material like scans of arcade flyers and music arrangements and stuff.
>>

People who absolutely refuse to use any kind of emulation

Saturnbros... our response?

>infinite continues
wtf that's dumb
>>
>>11394174
Refuse because too dumb to set it up?

So, the stuff that can be downloaded from the Internet. K

I just already got my PSX hooked up to my CRT. I'd also rather play in my living room than at my PC desk.
>>
>>11394208
In the case of arcade games? Often yes!
>>
>>11394217
Literally any smart TV, android box or a nettop hooked up to the TV can emulate CPS1-CPS2 game with far more accuracy than PS1 what ports offer.
>>
>>11394235
Can't use CRT with 240p using those.
If Anon wanted to be smart, he'd slot an CRT emudriver card into his remaining PCE slot,

Alright, let me just get out my smart tv and nettop and android box I don't have so I can play something I could just insert in my playstation I've already got hooked up for some extra autism good-boy points. Are you on meds?
>>
>>11394249
If you wanted to play arcade Capcom games, you'd do an optimal setup already and then posted here a discussion about the games themselves instead of wasting time on asking here about whether they are arcade perfect or not. You just have autistic interest in these ports for some reason.
BTW they cost a lot so I guess you have to go through the hassle of burning the cds too.

>>11394182
Doesn't every GnG game have unlimited continues? (Well only limited by your quarters in arcade)
>>
>>11394293
In a home environment for an arcade port, you're meant to be given 3 continues and nothing else since there's no quarter slot.

left is more faithful to the original vision
