Anyone know how Aethersx2's performance on Rocknix usually compares to android on the same device? One of the disappointments of the RP5 for me is its performance with ps2 (can't smoothly run at 2.5-3x res, and anything lower looks bad). I was hoping Rocknix would do better, but it actually runs far worse (even native resolution stutters). It's an older, more broken version of aether, and I'm not sure if I should blame it on that and give up on rocknix, or try again once it is more stable on RP5.
When do you think retro handhelds are going to learn from steam and start using the Steamdeck Joystick/D-pad placement? Having them side by side has been some of the most comfortable gaming experience I've hand.

Just beat Ape Escape. 100% confirmed in my belief that this is the best platformer on the PS1. The looping, recursive level design that mitigates backtracking, the radar that lets you find all the apes without tedium, the well-thought out powerups that naturally synergize with your platforming, the unbelievable music and aesthetics, the almost complete lack of gimmicks (looking at you Sypro), everything was incredible. If there is anyone here who has not yet played it I highly recommend it.

The trackpads also open the door to games which otherwise wouldn't have been playable handheld. If you're interested in just emulating up to PS2 in short bursts, RP5 is probably better, but as an all around device steam deck is far better
