I doubt that's really what you're looking for, but SMAC is a really Cyberpunk game, with more points of views: the usual "street-level" is implied by the quotes/animations/lore, but in addition, you can see the interest of the society in its entirety with the gameplay.Sure, living in a city where AIs are constantly watching you doesn't seem attractive, but have you seen these productivity bonuses? Would be a waste to not have them, or worse, let another faction have them...Existential dread? Sorry, doesn't show up on my economic report, can't optimize against it.

If you don't find some way to cure your cyber-vampirism in a few days, you die and get a game over. An interesting mix of adventure and RPG - combat is turn-based and extremely difficult. Not really that good, but still kind of interesting.
