Does anyone know how to use d terminal?Im looking for s-video cables for my consoles because my crt has that and composite, but all I'm finding is d-terminal cables at shops.
d-terminal is literally just component video with a different connector, you can buy adapters
>>11494215What about for the N64? I saw one for it/gc. And the cube had a dedicated port for component
nvm maybe I was mistaken, but Im pretty sure I saw a N64 type connector with d-terminal, so I was confused if it would be the same signalling for s-video. Maybe it was something else like xbox or something. It wasn't a playstation or wii one
just get this retard
>>11494313That's not going to help when my crt doesn't have component. I'll just keep looking for the right cables unless that can convert to s-video :)
>>11494190>Does anyone know how to use d terminal?Yes
>>11494317If you want to use s-video why the FUCK are you asking about d-terminal.I hope you are fucking terminal with something, retard.
>>11494190unless you live in Japan you'll probably never use d-terminal, I've only ever seen it on Japanese sets. something like this >>11494313would be used for the gamecube, where for a while people used the d-terminal cable and converted it to component because original gamecube component cables are crazy expensive. If your set doesn't support it though don't bother, there are s-video cables for everything that supports it
>>11494190Where do you live where you are finding d-terminal cables at shops but can't find S-Video?
>>11494531He's living in Termina
Why all the hate, guys? All anon is doing is asking for help. D-terminal is fairly obscure outside Japan as well.
>>11494531I went to Japan and am now looking for cables at some shops here. Idk what else to say. I've never seen these things before
>>11495126>>11495487Component video is not rare outside of Japan. People should understand video signals and the fact they did not care what connector you are using.
>>11494190D-terminal is basically component video. I remember a few cameras and camcorders utilized the port in addition to the Gamecube. There are supporting clips on the port and the plug has a mechanical buttons for you to squeeze to open the vice before release once you've fully seated the cable into the port for a secure connection. I suppose you can downconvert the component signal to S-video, but the converter seems to be discontinued as the device originally retailed at $200USD from what I see on https://www.svideo.com/ypbpr2svideo.htmlA shame since they did not open source the boards for one to make their own unlike other converters.
