This game is wonderful, but I rarely see people talk about it. It got included in both the Capcom Beat ‘em Up Collection and Capcom Arcade Stadium 1, yet it’s still so criminally overlooked compared to their other work. It’s got an amazing aesthetic that kind of reminds me of a proto Space Dandy/Redline. All of the characters play pretty differently, and even though there’s a heavy emphasis on multiplayer with the team up attacks, it’s still a fun solo clear. Lots of fun dialog and music. You collect coins in the stages which you can use to unlock additional moves for your character (though they start off with your typical beat em up kits). My only gripe is that it’s incredibly easy, especially for an arcade game. It’s fair which is appreciated, but it’s all too easy to stun lock enemies and even bosses (and I don’t mean with glitches/cancels like Final Fight; you can literally juggle bosses almost infinitely with normal gameplay).
>>11497595I think this one was made in the waning popularity of beat em ups, it seems like after the mid 90s, their stay was over in arcades. But yea I find this one to be rather fascinating. Had no North american arcade release, and no home release whatsoever.
>>11497631Yeah this was a late one. Capcom really put out some great stuff during a time when arcades in general were dying, stuff like Gigawing, Red Earth, Canon Spike
>>11497646There's a few stray CPS2 releases which I find to be very interesting.Progear, especially, since it's rumoured that less than 100 US kits were made, so Capcom made no more than the profit on those kits alone, at least for the US market.
>>11497595idk it's their worst cps2 beat 'em up imo, pretty but gimmicky and broken. Mystara is broken too but that game is a lot more interesting mechanically.
