People here told me you are guaranteed to get extremely overpowered loot from enemies. But after two playthroughs I never found anything better than the Alucard gear.
>>11498102Just play the DS games man, they outclass SotN in every way.Only thing SotN did better was that it was for consoles so you could play it on a big TV, but with emulation that point is also moot now.
>>11498112I did play the DS games.I was actually confused in my replay of SotN where that part with the burning buildings and acrobats was. All the games kinda merged in my mind.
>>11498112>they outclass SotN in every wayThey do not outclass SotN in presentation.
>>11498168Order Of Kino certainly does
>>11498402I suppose that one isn't bad, certainly better than the GBA games, but still isn't at SotN levels of good looking.
>>11498102did you forget the crissaegrim? look it up noob
>>11498418I'm not a faggot zoomer who looks up spoilers on how to break the game instead of playing it and finding shit out for themselves.
>>11498435way to go dumbo, missing out on content and taking longer to 100%
>>11498439I'm just playing the game like a normal person.I'm not trying to speedrun the game and impress other trannies on YouTube.
>>11498435>>11498442Dude, you already beat the game twice. You aren't "finding shit out for themselves". You should look stuff up. This has always been the case. In the early 90's, with no internet, we had tons of magazines with cheat codes and secrets for games that would be otherwise impossible for a regular player to find. There's simply no way you could guess the luck code for SotN.
>>11498418>>11498439not sure if trolling or just a zoomer, but it's sad either wayback then many people considered reading guides to be cheating, and most people only looked things up when they were really stuck in some part of the gamedon't you realize you're just spoiling the game for yourself? Do you look up movie endings online before you watch a new movie too?
>>11498520>Dude, you already beat the game twice.I beat it so long ago that I forgot a lot about it - that's why I decided to replay it now that it felt reasonably fresh again.
>>11498523>don't you realize you're just spoiling the game for yourself? Do you look up movie endings online before you watch a new movie too?You joke but /tv/ has frequent threads of "about to watch X - what am I in for?".Zoomers are literally unable to do anything independently.
>>11498102most OP gear needs farming with luck bonus gear. this, the amount of time it takes to fully level several familiars and the almost empty inverted castle show that the game was really unpolished when it came out.what boggles the mind is that the Saturn and PSP port while being good ones, didn't take the opportunity to fix these things.
>>11498418crissaegrim is lame, fist of tulkas is where it's at
>>11498550That's setting people up to be slaves in a way that the tyrants of old never even dreamed of.
>>11499442>the amount of time it takes to fully level several familiarsWhy would you ever bother to do that?
>>11498102Not even thought of filling the bestiary? It might be clunky to access since you need to go to the library every time to view it.Still gets me every playthrough when I missed out the Mudmen entry because I killed the boss too fast.
>>11499503that's my point, most people don't ever see them fully evolved and for what it's worth i like to change familiar from time to time.
>>11499510fuck thatflying with your bat buddies is the only way to go
>>11499518Bat Gradius is a lot of funThe crazy stuff the Sword familiar can do at high levels is neat tooBut like everything cool in SotN, it's easy to just toss on the Fairy and forget so plenty of people just have no idea the cool stuff is there
>>11498102>But after two playthroughs I never found anything better than the Alucard gear. You have to actively grind to get some of the powerful weapons. Crissaegrim/Valmanway is a rare drop that only shows up if you already beat the game once, it has high attack, high speed, hits 4 times in quick succession and can kill all bosses in seconds except maybe the thunder goliath whose name I forgot. Blood Sword (Muramasa?) starts out as shit but it gives you blood heal and levels up as you get blood heals, at max level it is one of your most powerful swords but that takes hours of grinding at that one cavern with the respawning enemies. Sword Familiar at high level can be equipped and at max level it has the highest ATK iirc. Masamune has a special ability that turns you invincible for 10 or 20 seconds, making the stupid easy games even stupid easier. And then there is the Shield Rod.
>>11499580>crissaegrimI thought you could get it first playthrough but not the gold rings.
>>11498102Unless you use guides online it's very hard to get OP.
>>11499580>Crissaegrim/Valmanway is a rare drop that only shows up if you already beat the game onceYou can have it on the first playthrough.
