The Recomp is giving it more attention since it's quite well made, charming, and is a lot more playable than many early 3D titles from that era.

The sequel likely uses the same game engine, so hopefully a recomp can be made next.

Yes, though some graphical effects and textures have issues since they weren't designed for a widescreen display.

Where the fuck is the recomp for CBFD so we can FINALLY have online multiplayer and not the travesty that was live and reloaded online mode?

Fuck, if CBFD had online multiplayer I would be playing it DAILY.

japanese recomp is better than no recomp. also bump of life for goemon n64 content

Actually on that note, the japanese version is a bit better. Some things were censored in the US version (I think even POOLASUMAA was changed a bit for some reason) and there were extra platforms in some areas added to make some shit easier to reach. Love the dialogue and all but its worth giving the japanese version a run, especially if its the one you can find.

And don’t forget that both games had both vocal songs and voice acting in the opening/ending cutscenes but they cut one of each from the localization so mystical ninja feat. Goemon only has vocal songs and goemon no daibouken only has voice acted cutscenes.

I honestly forgot the stuff that was missing, the majority of my playthroughs have been on the japanese version, even my first. I only really played the US version to know the script, and i rarely play japanese versions when english ones are available. I remember the opening theme being Kageyama and I remember the impact theme being a famous Toku singer, so it'd feel weird if either was missing. I like how Ms. Impact got her own version of that theme in GGA as well, though I think that got cut from the US release as well.
