I even have pixel remaster and gba version all on my phone right now

Might just play android port can't beat touchscreen controls and smooth textured

Hmm idk I had a fun time playing ffv for the first time on android port but might replay snes version

This. Don't play the fucking pixel remaster or the shit mobile version from years back. GBA is good if you care about extras at the cost of visual and audio being worse. Use restoration patch if you choose gba option.

Psp version of ff1 2 and 4 mogs all those versions
>>
>>11513125
Seconded, best version by far. Ironically has the best graphics too, the pixel memaster looks like a Neo Geo Pocket game.

Yep.

I remember Woolsey complaining that he had crazy-tight length limits.
Does this version fix that limitation? Or does it just translate “kuso” as “shit”?

If you like really ugly sprites and gimped difficulty yeah

The Japanese versions of those games benefit more from the PSP remake treatment since the games are in kanji instead of hiragana.

Having played both the vanilla unmodified game and TWUE recently almost back-to-back, I'd go with this, honestly. I'm not a fan of the guy behind it, but it gets the job done. Woolsey's translation really does get pretty rough at points, and this hack makes those bits more intelligible (by more or less lifting lines liberally from the GBA translation or from Tomato, but still). I'd go with the version that makes the least amount of changes personally i.e. the one without all the bugfixes or gameplay changes to keep it as close to vanilla as possible.

Whenever you're unsure about which version to play, you should default to the original.

SNES. Only downside is no extra content, but you can always play a hack like T-Edition or something after your first playthrough if you want bonus challenges.

When you say gimped difficulty are you saying it's harder?

Also are you taking the environment into consideration. The towns and dungeons clearly look better and there's nothing ugly about the sprites that's what all the shills say

Does anyone here have an actual answer

Did anyone actually play this game to play the game not because "Le greatest ff of all time"

FF1 and 2 on PSP have greatly reduced difficulty. I think FFIV on PSP is the same as IV Japan.
