>gets a whole music video>then subsequently droppedhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PHMzCpy0fXc&list=RDPHMzCpy0fXc&start_radio=1I think Arial could have been one of Sony's breakout stars. Imagine a corporate espionage game set in the wipeout universe starring her?

>>11515263>Cover of PSM discussing Wipeout 3>does not appear in the game
>>11515263Arial is dope, they def fucked up by not developing her. Also I found it ridiculous that this song was on the soundtrack tor 2097 which she didn't even appear in. It was like they made the song and video for the first game but waited too long so they just shoveled it to the sequel.
>>11515263Firebugs-looking ass
>>11515275"Atom Bomb" is in there, but it's an instrumental remix which seems completely different from the original song so it's easy to not realize it's supposed to be Atom Bomb.i'm sure if you load it up you'll go "wait, that's supposed to be Atom Bomb? That song?"https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pQqHTttWBlkIn contrast, the Prodigy song is completely recognizeable:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x4HtBRpzaEQ&list=PLWtEfek6KvTpdaj9JobKGYFb5xcVO6fbr&index=6
She's more popular in the fandom, and she was made just to promote the game not thinking too deeply about it.
>>11515283>"Atom Bomb" is in thereYes, in the sequel. She doesnmt appear in 2097. There aren't even any pilots named, just the teams iirc
>>11515270>>11515291>no freckleswho drew these slop?
>>11515263Wish there was more art of her sister because she has a cool design.
>>11515309Non-canon PSM cover. It puts her on the Feisar team when she's Auricom.>>11515263Manga. It's funny how hard Psygnosis tried to ape the Japanese cyberpunk look and aestetic, yet never directly embraced having the Japanese produce media for it. They could have gotten some Wipeout manga made about Arial Tetsuo.
>>11515280I don't miss this quasi-anime-style form of illustration you got in the late 90s and early 00s.
>>11515330Weirdly at the time, British mass media really and vocally turned its nose up at anime and manga, you would often get these very sneering comments in the press (and in the gaming press too) about it.
>>11515270My grandma bought me this issue.
>>11516024yeah there was a western take on anime that I hated. Shadow Warrior being the exception.
>>11515270never forget what they took from us
>>11516178What did they take? You got a cover that gets posted on here regularly, didn't you?
>>11516178Adam Warren still draws comics, you know.
>>11515263I'd fuck Arial.
Didn't they kill her in her own game? Yeah, it was neat seeing all the promotion with her, but that didn't go anywhere in the future games. I thought I read somewhere that Arial Tetsuo was a big music celebrity as well having worldwide fame, but it seems that isn't the case. Regardless, in my headcanon Atom Bomb video clip is partially shot as a music video that aired in WipEout's universe and we see snippets of it.
>>11517542>Didn't they kill her in her own game? No. Nothing is said about any of the characters after you finish the game. You just win
>>11517575I thought I remember reading that she was assassinated by(allegedly) her own sister when attending her restaurant's opening day. You can even see that scenario play out in the music video, but the assassin is stopped before he's able to shoot.
>>11517542>>11517575Wipeout has detailed lore about the racing history, but it's all buried in manuals and secondary materials. The Wipeout fandom wiki lists Ariel having a political career and an assassination, but I don't know hwere they get this info from.
>>11515330>Manga. It's funny how hard Psygnosis tried to ape the Japanese cyberpunk look and aestetic, yet never directly embraced having the Japanese produce media for it. They could have gotten some Wipeout manga made about Arial Tetsuo.Wipeout could have lent itself well to some form of Manga, or even a limited animated series that would have been aimed at older audiences.Aesthetically, I love the look of the original game. To me it is one of the most "1995" eccentric games I can think of. Everything from the music to the Designer Republic art direction and cyberpunk universe. https://youtu.be/XASEBvDri4U
