Setting aside everything else about the game, Chrono Trigger actually has a great sense of humor, especially around Ozzie and his hijinks. Fighting against save points is pretty clever too. I wonder who was responsible for the jovial sense of adventure. Yuji Horii of Dragon Quest fame? I like Dragon Quest too, but it's no Chrono Trigger.

It's all very obvious and easy to avoid: a cat, an empty can... then at the very end of the path there's a save point. Without a single thought, you walk over it, then the ding sound summons the fish men.

Pretty sure it's Horii, Dragon Quest always had some humour, like the guy taking a piss in a back alley in town, the sexy massage and the old man who wants to be a girl in DQ3 etc
