I recently picked up 5 NES games from a church for $10 that they found when they were cleaning out an old storage room. Aside from having a layer of dust/dirt caked on to them, they were in pretty good condition but the contacts felt super rough as well and went to green screen when inserted. What's the best way to clean the contact points on the old video games without damaging them? Did I damage my pin connector trying to insert dirty contacts?

One of the games came with not these retainers broken, is it okay if I just super glue them back? That should be strong enough right?

Be gentle when applying them in place, and it should work.
