When the sourceport first came out, I remember being able to compile for windows using PS2 assets using the 1.40 iso but I could be wrong and just replaced the PC audio files with the PS2 audio files. It's been a few years.

In any case, I want to know if anyone here has ever tried building it with Xbox assets. As most of you know, the Xbox version of GTA: Vice City is considered the highest fidelity version, boasting the nicest car models, cleanest textures, and even individual fingers for higher poly count character models.

It should be possible to do this, though I haven't seen any evidence of it being done.

If it is possible, how does one go about compiling a version using assets from the Xbox iso using the re:3/re:VC files here:

If someone has done this before, do the individual fingers and their animations even work in re:VC?

Any help or input would be appreciated. Thank you.

PS:
If it is possible, would it also be possible to use the PS2 audio with the Xbox assets?

I'll also use this opportunity to also ask if there is an "xbox total conversion mod" for VC that doesn't suck.

I know there is at least a way to inject the hand models and animations into the PC version with this mod:

Are there mods to import everything else including the better car models, high detail wheels, and textures?
