Just post what emulators I should be running, I'm tired of guessing.

>>11667750>ESPN Great Outdoor Games - Bass 2002If you're familiar with Fisherman's Bait (PS1), than you know of Fisherman's Bait 2 -Big Ol' Bass (PS1). If you know THAT, than I'm sure you've played the far superior Fisherman's Bait - Big Ol Bass 2 (PS1). Well, ESPN GOG-B '02 is the same team, and you can think of it as Fisherman's Bait 4 - Big Ol' Bass Advance. Basically, it's one of the best 2D fishing games you could play. Right up there with BASS Masters Classic - Pro Edition (SNES).

>>11667750Tony Hawk's Underground 1 for GBA is the best of the GBA Tony Hawks, and has a very down-to-earth theme to it, though depending on how strict you are, you may think of some of the skateboarding maneuvers as not being "realistic and believable"
>>11667675I just use what is recommended for each console/handheld on the emulation gametechwiki
>>11667702>shitgle>finding anything
>>11667675Takes some experimentation and maybe some googling, but this will cover pretty much all systems (that are worthwhile, so no Playdia cores) besides disc based Gen 5 and Gen 6.
>>11667698I wish that the EmuWiki would keep multi-emulators out of the lists for specific systems. It's my biggest gripe with it.

>>11667770>Saturn emulation sucksWhew, I wanted to play Shining the Holy Ark last month. Tried 2 emulators and so many settings, I can handle emulator jankiness, but this was unplayable. Good to know others have this problem.>>11668167The GBA Tony Hawks were good. The shoulder buttons on the GBA actually felt good to use for tricks, not sure if it'd be fun on a PC.
>>11668350Why, thank you anon! There was a thread a few weeks back about fishing games, and Big Ol' Bass 2 came highly recommended. Then, I spiraled down a retro fishing game rabbit hole and played every NA-released fishing game for GB(C)(A), SNES, Genesis, N64, & PS1. Along the way I found the ESPN game and said out loud, "WHAT THE FUCK?! THEY'RE RIPPING OFF BIG OL' BASS!!!" That's when I noticed both were published by Konami. That actually got me to do proper research into the subject. "Monster! Bass Fishing" on GBA is great too, not to be confused with the God-awful Monster Bass on PS1.

Retrobat is all you'll ever need. Just throw in your Rom/Iso files and start the game. No hassle like retroarch. Just start the game. Retrobat is the reason I finally took the emu pill and sold all my original hardware. Very convenient. It has a nice and simple User Interface as well.>Inb4 buy and adFuck you shizo posters

>>11668343I've been a RA shill until I tried Duckstation and realized how much input lag my RA setup has. I tried every setting but couldn't solve it.
Project 64 is decent for N64 SNES9X for SNES Nestopia for NES Visualboy for GBA No$GBA for DS i don't know an Emulator for PS1 since i use a 32 bit PC and i can't run Duckstation and Dreamcast i tried an Emulator a long time ago but i don't remember which one it was PCSX2 PPSSPP and Dolphin are very good too i haven't tried an Emulator for the original Xbox yet
ares is kind of buggy but it's the easiest way to have access to all the crt filters you could ever want.
>>11668347>I wish that the EmuWiki would keep multi-emulators out of the lists for specific systems. It's my biggest gripe with it.The wiki almost always has standalone emulators also recommended
>>11669260Yes, I'm saying all the multi-emus clutter up the lists, they should just keep them on a dedicated page.
On top of my head. MSX: BlueMSXNES: Nestopia and Mesen; QuickNES on lower-end/portable hardware for less power/more battery.SNES: Snes9x and bsnes.Mega Drive/Master System/Mega CD: Genesis Plus GX with Nuked YM2612; PicoDrive for lower-end/portable hardware for less power/more battery and 32xPC Engine: Bettle PCE; Fast fork on lower-end/portable hardware for less power/more battery.GameBoy: Gambatte.PS1: SwanStation; PCSX-ReARMed on lower-end/portable hardware for less power/more battery, or it I want no input lag.N64: Mupen64Plus-Next with Parallel-RD.Saturn: Bettle SaturnDreamcast: FlycastGBA: mGBA; gbSP on lower-end/portable hardware for less power/more battery.PS2: LRPS2 as it supports RA shaders and input lag can be reduced, otherwise PCSX2/NetherSX2.GameCube/Wii: Dolphin (standalone)DS: MelonDS DS; DraStic on Android/ARM Linux.>>11667770>>11668380>Saturn emulation sucksJust use Mednafen/Beetle Saturn you retards.>>11669164Sounds like there's something going on your PC and you should look up for a solution. I actually like using PCSX-ReARMed because it supports run-ahead. Combined with the turbo CD feature for shorter loading times, it feels good to play Tekken 3 on it.
>>11667750>realistic games>Games set in believable worldsYou're playing on a fucking purple handheld nintendo console meant for LITTLE CHILDREN. Go back to your retro PC games you giant faggot.

>>11669157Probably upset his genius schizoposting wasn't getting any traction and finally jumped ship
>>11669723Or Bettle Saturn as I mentioned, otherwise tough luck since that's the best Saturn emulator by far. Aside from that, your only choices are Yabause forks like Kronos on RetroArch and Yaba Sanshiro 2 standalone, or something ancient like SSF. Hopefully Nova (https://emulation.gametechwiki.com/index.php/Nova) keeps getting improved little by little.

Is there ANY reason to use Project64 over other N64 emulators?
>>11670374Some romhacks and randomizers are more stable on P64, but that's about it.

>>11674356Isn't Ares the successor to Higan? Last time I checked, Higan's latest stable is outdated compared to Ares.
>>11667969>>11669723I don't get it, what's wrong with Mednafen? I emulated all sorts of Saturn games with it over the years, both 2D and 3D, and never had a problem.
>>11674507Nothing's wrong with Mednafen, it tends to filter people because it's CLI only. (Despite frontends for Mednafen standalone existing.) Most people tend to go for Beetle cores on RA, which are forks of Mednafen.
>>11674521So what? Just set it to open CUE files directly from Windows Explorer. I do this with other emulators anyway. I'm not clicking through some cancerous frontend when I can just click on the game and run it straight from the folder.
>>11674549Fair enough, I drag 'n drop shit too.
Flycast or Redream?
>>11674754Flycast due to higher compatibility and free upscaling/save states.

>>11667750The urbz, Sims in the city.
>>11667675Don't use snes9x. It doesn't run SuperFX games properly, they're aware of the issue and have said they have no intention of fixing it. Use bsnes instead.
>>11667675Genesis: Genesis Plus GX WideIt's the most impressive emulator of all to me, the fact that they've actually turned Genesis ROMs into widescreen 16:9, or even ultrawide 21:9, natively, without stretching, but actually seeing more of the level... is just incredible, and I wish all consoles had it. SNES got one I think, but it runs quite poorly for me, while Genesis Plus GX Wide just works like any other lightweight emulator...
