what went wrong ?

consolizing your IP for mainstream appeal
>>
I didn't play it but I've seen it on YouTube.
My guesses: Res too high, so bad performance. Lack of tension. So nowhere feels dangerous and realistic, which was a large part of the first's appeal. Didn't empower you to master a very hostile setting, eg give you 4 men to move to a point from 4 different sides, switch to each like lives and to make their side safe, prevent enemies from getting behind you or fleeing, or reinforcements from joining defensive point. Graphics not good enough. Not enough use of fog or weather. Needing to do things in a certain way, instead of anyhow as long as you be carefull. Bad aiming and insufficient framerate for it. Performance wasted on smooth and rounded things, enemies instead of world. Not enough variety in player char or customisability in Loadout and play. Too long load times. Propaganda. Bad voices.

Guesses. I think I played 1 on Xbox and it was very good. But I took everything seriously then. Was trying for SF myself, so all was applicable, and treated as really dying if losing. Seems everything, not just military or games was serious then.

If you think this was bad, check the OG Xbox version of GRAW. Shit was grimey.

It should have been developed as a Microsoft Windows game in the first place. I have no idea what they were smoking
