Any good? Also samurai game thread.
>>11681582It's pretty fun, short, simple, super replayable.I never tried any of the sequels aside from 4 but they all seem to be similar just with more content.
>>11681582Is the PS2 or PSP version the best to play?
>>11681595This fucking game needs a remake. Imagine the advanced physics and gore effects they can do now with intestines spilling and the famous Kurosawa blood spray.
>>11681582It's great, but it's also really short unless you're going for all the endings. Like, you can complete a run in half an hour to an hour if you know what you're doing and that's being generous, though a fair amount of time will also be spent getting and upgrading new swords, and figuring out what events influence which outcomes if you're not bringing a guide in. It also has a great soundtrack, which still stands out to me the most among a 5 game series.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fkHsJazkObwIf you come to really enjoy what's on offer, take heed: the sequels are way more dense, but that also means longer playthroughs and more ways to fuck them up which ends up killing everybody or you leaving the respective town early, so it may or may not be up your alley for continuing the series.
There's also the spinoff Samurai Western
>>11681582>Way of the Slopit's a mediocre janky series1 and 2 are too cluncky even by PS2 standards, 3 is ruined by the awful pseudo-QTE slop in combat and 4 is ruined by the terrible time limit BSif you want a Samurai kino play >>11681597 and the sequels are even better except 3 that one sucks
Never played this but it seems like a proto Onimusha
