my genesis controller registers the C button as a press on the Start button occasionally. is this a known issue with the controller or the console? worth mentioning that 2 pins on the port on the console are pressed in a tiny bit.
this happens when the controller connector is pushed in too tightit needs a little slack
>>11698029you're supposed to buy these ones
From what I can see the Start signal passes by the C button, at least close to it. Is your C or Start button loose? You should open it up and give it a clean, reseat the buttons, see if the problem is on the board.
>>11698034Seconded, this exact officially licensed controller is the best one
>>11698029>is this a known issue with the controller or the console? No. But there are known problems that can cause it.>worth mentioning that 2 pins on the port on the console are pressed in a tiny bit.Which pins? Are they, perchance, any that determine whether C or Start is reported to the console?
>>11698108For me I prefer the 3-button with the floating d-pad from the 6-button/saturn.>>11698029Open it up and clean the contacts, check those pins in the controller port and give them a little pull with a set of pliers or tweezers to help them reset into place.
>>11698037>>11698484I will take a look>>11698470Looking at a pinout they're the Up and Down pins and not C or Start.
