Reinstalled Sim Theme Park last night. It also turned out to be the UK version. I know there isn't a real difference but still a bit excited since a lot of people say the UK ant guy is better.

Anywho, any tips and trips for the game? Kind of thining about going full Marcel Vos on it since I can't find anything other than cheating.

Eh, sure, but what's happening now is far more pervasive and ruinous. Any clip where people can comment is flooded with "me when" type shit. That behavior emerged from the old guard too but they pulled an image in to support something they wanted to express, not the other way around.

Wild Mouse is the best coaster type for boardwalks. Wooden coasters are a close second, followed by corkscrews.

>>
>>11983573
they could have at least included all of the features of his original 1999 game in their "attempts" at making new Rollercoaster Tycoon games
>>
A new RCT game doesn't even need much. You want more freedom but not the tedium of Planet Coaster. So expand the scenery sets modestly - not so much as a NED workbench, where you need to build up knowledge of what the pieces even are to be able to use them, but enough that you can put up buildings with a decent variety in shape and texture. And implement spline-based track: I bet it wouldn't be too difficult (with the resources of a *product*) to cook up a system that, on the fly, bakes 3d modeled track into sprite chunks with car orientation data that can justwerk with the base game data structures.
>>
RCT as a franchise is dead in terms of new games. Just play one of the many spiritual successors if you need to play something new.
>>
>>11984280
And yet we're all interested in the slow steady process of new stuff being strapped to RCT2.

>Are they the most useless videogame developer?
They have competition with Mojang
>>
I *need* the custom objects to cover the limitations of the vanilla scenery set. But sifting through them, figuring out what's what, finding the piece you need, realizing that your workbench still has some gaps, etc is fucking misery.
>>
>>11985158
Just use trackitecture
>>
>>11985161
I'm talking shit like just finding a recolorable diagonal base block that matches the other sets. Vanilla and even many workbenches are stuck with only a wooden one. I just want to make a goddamn diagonal path.
>>
>>11984280

>>
>>11985054

>>
>>11986127
Timing racing coasters is fucking frustrating even for those who are good at making coasters.
>>
>>11986127
Dueling coasters are a pain, and moebius coasters are even more of a pain. It's even worse when block sections get involved, since even if the trains should take the same amount of time to get around the timings inevitably start acting up.
>>
>>11987076
>the timings inevitably start acting up
Not if you set the station wait time to an exact value and don't try to cram in more trains.

i mean the coloured glass IS the floor.
i'd use the tile inspector to hide the queue path and have some sort of glass block underneath as the queue line instead.

>>
>>11990005
can't park there, mate
>>
>>11986127
You'll get better at it. Unfortunately your timings will get even more shredded once the ride opens and guests change the momentum. Asymmetrical designs are more challenging, but also have the benefit of uneven distribution of slopes/hills to even out the race. Ultimately a high average speed is best. Slower sections will pull the racers apart due to momentum differences. Once guests start filling those seats, the effect is even greater.

>Don't outright delete other people's builds, or grief other people's builds
Other than that anything goes.
It's not a rule but it should go without saying but the parks are a collaborative effort, so feel free to add scenery to rides that aren't yours or ,in general, just get creative with other people's builds if you feel inclined.
