>>12021342>>12021340[9-12] New Doom infographic is out https://imgur.com/a/wB0psIa(actually it's been out for months but never added to news OR the OP)
>>12021359> I don't agree with these additions.Fine, give me your versions. I don't care for those write-ups that much either>page 6> That's a bit early.>"DOOM V9" while using the V8 link> and maybe very devious.I suspect it's some kind of false-flagging anti-mm attempt. Probably not gonna get taken down since it has the old link which means it's protected by the jay-jays
>>12021340man, fuuuuuuuuuuuuck you
Here's my 2 cents on the write-ups for mm and bd:Megaman:CutmanMike: now that motherfucker could mod! Full 3D adaptation of every Mega Man level, character, boss, weapon and mechanic in existence. If you can look past the bright 8-bit colors, you're in for one of the most fun to play multiplayer mods of Doom.Brutal Doom:Sgt Mark IV immortalized himself by making a mod that adds gore, assault rifles, middle fingers and front kicks to already brutal franchise. Doesn't appeal as much to the people who care about uniform aesthetics, but if you want more madness - you'll get it.
>>12021340> old linkI'm just gonna assume this is a mistake. Megaman crowd has gotten a bit of a bad rep recently in these threads, so let's just not turn this into a shit flinging fest but rather make the next thread correctly. Anyway I'm off to play some mm8bdm
>>12021351I feel that Metroid Dreadnought should be here, but no one ever cared to update that or merge with spram's mod for a best of both worlds.I still hate what they did to term.
>>12021379MOCK 2:kys nigger
Well that was a decent game besides the annoying platforming sections, you often have to jump the longest possible distnace which I am still not sure how you are supposed to do, it just felt like luck. Also I can't imagine playing the original console or EX versions where you had no checkpoints and had to complete each level in one go, some levels like the one with laser traps were quite frustrating. It's not some hidden game masterpiece some make it out to be but it was still fun. Not sure if I want to play the other PC version which looks quite generic. Also the final boss fight was fairly easy, the only diffcult part was not falling out of the map which happened to me 4 times.
What do dancing anime girls have to do with retro fps games?
>>12021391>>12021395>>12021404>>12021413>>12021427Doom?
What are some games you couldn't beat without save scumming?
Damn, the strogg isnt fucking around.>>12021429the anti megaman schizo went haywire, just report him for offtopic
>>12021454Both you and the chink cartoon spammer are retarded. Megaman has never been irrelevant.
>"the anti megaman schizo"He really expects people to buy into this, huh?
Great thread
Gee, /vr/ how come your jannies let you have two /doom/ generals?
>>12021493Judging by the contents of this thread, there are no jannies.
>>12021342This thread is probably gonna get nuked, but for the next thread remove Major Duke developer quits from the news. Let's just forget the yesterday's shitstorm. I'm still here, just not taking part to dramas anymore, but working on Duke project. Sorry for my yesterday's spergouts.
>>12021502You are god damn right.
>>12021379and metadoom?is super epic!
>>12021429We need more doom wads with cute anime girls, bonus points if they can dance.
Is this fun to you?
We have insisted that the development of political democracyrepresents the convergence of a great number of social movements, noone of which owed either its origin or its impetus to inspiration ofdemocratic ideals or to planning for the eventual outcome. This factmakes irrelevant both paeans and condemnations based uponconceptual interpretations of democracy, which, whether true or false, good or bad, are reflections of facts in thought, not their causal authors. In any case, the complexity of the historic events which have operatedis such as to preclude any thought of rehearsing them in these pages, even if I had a knowledge and competency which are lacking. Twogeneral and obvious considerations need, however, to be mentioned.Born in revolt against established forms of government and the state, the events which finally culminated in democratic political forms weredeeply tinged by fear of government, and were actuated by a desire toreduce it to a minimum so as to limit the evil it could do.
>>12021521He's a fucking retard, but I feel this thread is doomed already. Just return to the previous one folks.
Since established political forms were tied up with other institutions, especially ecclesiastical, and with a solid body of tradition and inheritedbelief, the revolt also extended to the latter. Thus it happened that theintellectual terms in which the movement expressed itself had anegative import even when they seemed to be positive. Freedompresented itself as an end in itself, though it signified in fact liberationfrom oppression and tradition. Since it was necessary, upon theintellectual side, to find justification for the movements of revolt, andsince established authority was upon the side of institutional life, thenatural recourse was appeal to some inalienable sacred authorityresident in the protesting individuals. Thus “individualism” was born, atheory which endowed singular persons in isolation from anyassociations, except those which they deliberately formed for their ownends, with native or natural rights. The revolt against old and limitingassociations was converted, intellectually, into the doctrine ofindependence of any and all associations.

The revolutions that are now spreading themselves in the world havetheir origin in this state of the case, and the present war is a conflictbetween the representative system founded on the rights of the people, and the hereditary system founded in usurpation. As to what are calledMonarchy, Royalty, and Aristocracy, they do not, either as things or asterms, sufficiently describe the hereditary system; they are butsecondary things or signs of the hereditary system, and which fall ofthemselves if that system has not a right to exist. Were there no suchterms as Monarchy, Royalty, and Aristocracy, or were other termssubstituted in their place, the hereditary system, if it continued, wouldnot be altered thereby. It would be the same system under any othertitulary name as it is now.
Liberty and Property are words expressing all those of our possessionswhich are not of an intellectual nature. There are two kinds of property.Firstly, natural property, or that which comes to us from the Creator ofthe universe—such as the earth, air, water. Secondly, artificial oracquired property—the invention of men. In the latter equality isimpossible; for to distribute it equally it would be necessary that allshould have contributed in the same proportion, which can never be thecase; and this being the case, every individual would hold on to his ownproperty, as his right share. Equality of natural property is the subject ofthis little essay. Every individual in the world is born therein withlegitimate claims on a certain kind of property, or its equivalent.
DELET THIS
By the just procedure, the whole price of the first piece of work goesinto the hands of the man who does it. No surplus being left in theemployer’s hands, he cannot hire another man for another piece oflabour. But by precisely so much as his power is diminished, the hiredworkman’s power is increased; that is to say, by the additional half ofthe price he has received; which additional half he has the power ofusing to employ another man in his service. I will suppose, for themoment, the least favourable, though quite probable, case—that, though justly treated himself, he yet will act unjustly to his subordinate;and hire at half-price, if he can. The final result will then be, that oneman works for the employer, at just price; one for the workman, at half-price; and two, as in the first case, are still out of employ. These two, asI said before, are out of employ in both cases. The difference betweenthe just and unjust procedure does not lie in the number of men hired, but in the price paid to them, and the persons by whom it is paid. Theessential difference, that which I want the reader to see clearly, is, thatin the unjust case, two men work for one, the first hirer. In the just case, one man works for the first hirer, one for the person hired, and so on,down or up through the various grades of service; the influence beingcarried forward by justice, and arrested by injustice.
The immediate operation of justice in this respect is, therefore, todiminish the power of wealth, first in acquisition of luxury, and, secondly, in exercise of moral influence. The employer cannotconcentrate so multitudinous labour on his own interests, nor can hesubdue so multitudinous mind to his own will. But the secondaryoperation of justice is not less important. The insufficient payment ofthe group of men working for one, places each under a maximum ofdifficulty in rising above his position. The tendency of the system is tocheck advancement. But the sufficient or just payment, distributedthrough a descending series of offices or grades of labour,17 gives eachsubordinated person fair and sufficient means of rising in the socialscale, if he chooses to use them; and thus not only diminishes theimmediate power of wealth, but removes the worst disabilities ofpoverty.
Flora Hawkes laughed. “We haven’t a chance in the world,” she said.“I know this Tarzan bloke. If he was all alone we wouldn’t be a matchfor him, but he’s got a bunch of his Waziri with him, and there are nofiner warriors in Africa than they. And they’d fight for him to the lastman. You just tell Owaza that you’re thinking of going after Tarzan ofthe Apes and his Waziri to take the gold away from them, and see howlong it’d be before we wouldn’t have a single nigger with us. The veryname of Tarzan scares these west coast blacks out of a year’s growth. They would sooner face the devil. No, sir, we’ve lost, and all we can dois to get out of the country, and thank our lucky stars if we manage toget out alive. The ape-man will watch us. I should not be surprised if hewere watching us this minute.” Her companions looked aroundapprehensively at this, casting nervous glances toward the jungle. “Andhe’d never let us get back to Opar for another load, even if we couldprevail upon our blacks to return there.”“Two t’ousand pounds, two t’ousand pounds!” wailed Bluber. “Und alldis suit, vot it cost me tventy guineas vot I can’t vear it again in Englandunless I go to a fancy dress ball, vich I never do.”
