They were on their third console, which had sold very well in Japan thanks to their port of arcade smash-hit Virtua Fighter, a game that was a true pioneer in every sense. True, the release outside of Japan could've gone better, but that didn't matter. Sega were finally entering the 3D era of gaming.StC were also doing well. Sonic's adventures were well-received, as were the steady rotation of other Sega IPs... and Sparkster.Things were going well.

>>12364578OP here: I honestly don't know. If I had to guess, it's either one of those weird Mega Drive variant models that had a built-in Sega CD or 32X... or more likely it's just a weird typo that nobody caught (which sounds insane, but it's worth remembering that Fleetway didn't really know what they were doing with this title at the best of times.)
>>12364578>>12364773OP again - I just did a bit of digging and I was right first timehttps://sega.fandom.com/wiki/Multi-Mega>The Sega Multi-Mega is a special piece of hardware developed by Sega and released in the early-1990s. It is a Sega Mega Drive, Sega Mega-CD and personal CD player combined into one unit. The unit was released in North America as the Sega Genesis CDX as the "Mega Drive" naming scheme was not in use in that region, and in Brazil it was called the Multi Mega CDX.
>>12364712>Chuck Rock 2 worse than Bubsyyeah, these guys were brain damaged
damn chris got way better at drawing
elsons art is the best sonic art there is i think he really perfected the design of the character especially with knuckles/chaotix, obviously drawing for 2000AD comics years before STC.also the knuckles story where he gets a new crystal for the master emerald i really liked as a kid, didnt realise the art was done by a different artist nigel dobbyn which has a cool style.also these comics helped me finish B&B on the megadrive back in the day.also as already said MM is multimega (CDX), i remember seeing one in argos on a display stand as a kid, it was £399, to get a boxed one now is nearly twice that.lol
>>12364364>"Head is still recovering from alcoholism"Forgot how much I loved this strip as a kid.
That Metallix storyline is fun shit. Im guessing the emperor is based off the final boss from Chaotix? Was that thing ever given an official name?Wish that Sonic RPG on DS had a plot like that. Cool way to merge ideas from Sonic CD and Chaotix.
>>12367794iirc he's known as Metal Sonic Kai, but that might just be fanon
