for me it's pickle park
Rollercoasters are kinda bullshit when you think about it
>>12529202it's black magic
HRNK
server?
Handymans are fucking STUPID
>>12529457don't be mean to the handymen
>>12529437I have Gotase hosted, but we can switch to something else if anyone has ideas. I wanted to revisit Collaboration Central at some point
>>12529696I'm good with whatever myself
wuuuuh oooohhhh someone left the chain lift cheat on again
>>12529786I didn't even realize it was on while I was building my spaghetti coaster.
>>12529792the spaghetting has begun
>>12529968fuck yeah
is it pickle park for me?
>>12530983for you, any pickle will do
gg ez
>>12531352something looks different about Alcatraz and I can't put my finger on it.
The quarter helix is an excellent addition. I've already used it to finish off a coaster today.
I made another map, i don't like this one desu. I tried to knock it out for the weekend but got caught up with other stuffhttps://files.catbox.moe/b09hoa.park
>>12531675I wouldn't mind trying it next week even if you're not a fan. Reminds me of Thunder Rock, except a lot more detailed. I think it could be fun.
I also made this prop, it's meant to be corn. You've really got nothing to work with a 1/4 tile block, it's like 16 pixels
>>12531749can you change the colors on it in game? It looks very dark-brown for corn
>>12532029sometimes I get corn in my brown
>>12533228I guess country gays have to make do
Weekend Map Downloadhttps://files.catbox.moe/9h1o2j.park
>>12532029I think it was originally lighter then became darker when it was rendered or compressed to the rct colour palette. I can lighten it up in photoshop and repackage it easy enough though
>>12533356I think we should do a smaller map next weekend.
Electric Fields (NOT unbound) chaos park next weekend
anyone got the dat for #KTBMBHM
>working on my biggest park ever>constantly having overcrowding issues>make big ride with big queue to keep guests off the path>guests all flock to the new ride and fill the queue>some can't find it, some get mad about the overcrowding>park rating tanks, guests all leave>no more overcrowding, no more losts guests>park rating rebounds>repeati love this game
>>12535685Just add more paths and hire a hundred entertainers
>>12535705It's 255x255, I'm already at 200 Entertainers. It's gonna ebb and flow like this for a while. My peak is 15k guests.Pirate Area in said park for bump.
>>12537347transport rides are the solution. A ride that serves 10k guests per hour is going to keep a lot of people happy.
>>12535685You clearly didn't watch his videos. If you watched his videos you would know how the soft guest cap works and how to abuse it with thousands of microcoasters.Idiot.
Watched one of Deurklink's tutorials on how to make custom river rapids. Here's my first go at one.
>>12538532Looks good. I expect to see one of these in this weekend's server. Do not disappoint me.
>>12538472NTA but my current park has 2401 guests and it refuses to go any higher. It doesn't matter if I build more coasters or anything. This didn't happen in my earlier parks. What is the issue?
>>12538541OpenRCT has a feature that analyzes your computer's specs. It then sets a max guest cap for your parks so that slowdowns do not occur. Looks like yours is about 2400.
>>12538542Really? But how does that explain that my earlier parks easily could reach 6000+ guests?
>>12538546Latest update lowered the number. Or maybe you have virus. Please let me remote into your windows and check.
>>12538548good morning sir
>>12538532>Double wide paths>Hidden tracks>Infinite moneyOpenRCT was a mistake.
>>12538532As a hardcore believer of foliage spam: spam more foliage.More bushes, more better.
>>12538194The park is built around a double rail line that goes around the whole park, but it's pulling less numbers than I expected.
>>12538532Love that main ride building. How are you getting the black trim onto the wooden roofs?>>12539558Ah, old reliable. Fill it with trees. Looks really good anon. I love the closed area(s) on the bobnseld and the fencing on the balloon stall. We posting jungle areas?
>>12539905Make it free. Subsidized mass transit works in both simcity and rollercoaster tycoon.
>>12539242To each their own I guess. I personally just want to build stuff I find nice looking. Don't really care anymore about playing the actual game. >>12539910>How are you getting the black trim onto the wooden roofs? It's in one of Xtreme 97's workbenches.
Man, these threads are dead nowadays. Is everyone in Deurklink's discord or what?
>>12541286They've always been slow desu, but that's okay.
>>12539910>We posting jungle areas?I'll post the ones I made for the weekend parks a while ago.
This project burnt my ass out lmao. also didn't have a job at the time.
>>12541286they're usually pretty slow, sometimes we get a boost if there is something to discuss new with the game, otherwise most of the interaction is on the weekend servers
>>12541648Why do you have a epstein temple in your park?
>>12542059why don't you?
>>12542059Epstein sold his old rape island for like $500 so I swooped it up and built a jungle-themed park on it.
>>12538541Nevermind. I forgot that I had chosen guests that are harder to attract in the scenario options.
what map tonight, boss?
>>12542317Can we have this made into a scenario? Here's a heightmap.
>>12544083doubled the size because of all of the water, if it's even usable
I found the object creator the ned guys made and it makes actually making objects insanely easier, atleast the generic objects. Here's some exceptionally long grass (that looks more like corn than the corn) i made
If you're gonna play this weekend, I can make a little st james map if you're keen. Just give me a heads up when you need it by
>>12544048didn't someone want to do electric fields?
Now hosting Electric Fields with added objects72.31.18.168:11753
>>12544731not host anon but if you make it I would love to play it another weekend
I'm happy with how my entrance plaza turned out.
>>12546382I like it
>>12546382I like it so much I'll bump the thread so that others can see it.

postan a boardwalk area to keep the thread upignore my park rating guests are bad at navigation
>>12550873just move every guest individually to the place they want to be to fix your park rating
>>12550881about that...
>>12550883That's only 236 guests.
>>12550904well that was easier than i expected.
>>12550969ezpz
>>12550873>13k guests>park rating zeroso did you just open a new coaster?
the wave
>>12552621beautiful
>>12552621love it
>>12551228Two, actually. And the lost guest count has rebounded. Sigh. The curse of huge parks I guess.
>>12529457I think you’re fucking stupid you pedophile fagget
>>12553071Holy shit bruh let's calm down a little
>>12553071A handyman's hands typed this with their handy handyman hands.
>>12552867I think this is something they should be able to fix in openrct2. In a big park the issue doesn't seem to be that guests can't path find but rather that they have a set time limit from when they decide to go to a ride to when they can't find it because it takes them too long to walk. Why not just get rid of that time limit altogether?
I'm still trying to make custom terrain textures. It's pretty annoying getting it right. You want it to look like something but then it can end up way to detailed and noisey. idk where the the right position isThis is meant to be moss, rocks with white algae, bearberries and dark rocks
>>12553837The one with moss looks great.
>>12553837The rocks I think look good on those issues. They instead suffer from tiling too obviously. The berries also tile too much but the noisiness I don't feel anything can be done about. They may be better as scenery objects for some depth. The moss is maybe a little too noisy but more importantly I feel too much contrast with near-blacks and near-whites. But take that with a grain of salt, my experience is mostly limited to using filters in GIMP for recoloring.
>>12553834I think they should change park rating to take into account guest count. Like in >>12550883 I have an awful park rating because of my lost guests when in actuality that's a very small percentage of my guests. Also strange that every positive park rating metric is bounded and most of the negative ones are unbounded.
>>12555243I'd love to see some balance changes because once you get over 10k guests, weird things start to happen. It makes sense, wasn't the original limit 5k?
>>12552621Superb
Weird islandhttps://files.catbox.moe/ncfgs9.park
>>12557668The madman actually did it
map idea: an abandoned zoo. tons of enclosures with various landscapes within, and a large path system which has fallen out of use. This map will be much easier to make now that the fence click-and-drag tool is in the game.
>>12552621Catch the Wave.
>OpenRCT2 - Currently the best way to play RollerCoaster Tycoon. We use the latest stable version for multiplayer unless otherwise noted:Even if I want to play rct1?
>>12558395You can add rct1's files to it and it plays just like the first one would, now with all the modern features and QoL OpenRCT introduces.Unless you're a purist, then you would argue otherwise. Which i guess, okay. Valid i suppose.
>>12558408If I remember correctly, Rct 1 had this campaign, where you need to complete maps to unlock more maps. Can it work like that on openrct?
>>12558525Yeah, you still need to complete previous parks in order to unlock more
>>12558539Fyi this is under the "progressive unlocking" option which is disable by default.
>>12558549probably ticked that on and forgot about it, i always check options and mods when i boot up a game
>>12558539>>12558549NoiceThanks
>>12557668I hope we're playing this tonight
>>12557668Should I recreate the Epstein Island temple from that one map we played earlier in the year?
>>12559524yeah
>>12558552>>12558549>Fyi this is under the "progressive unlocking" option which is disable by default. They probably changed the default because I recently installed OpenRCT2 and it was enabled by default
Our fortnightly torment.
>>12558395The thing is, using OpenRCT2 to play RCT1 maps is the best because you get autosave and access to cheats without trainers. But I completely understand wanting to use the original game because OpenRCT2 doesn't emulate RCT1. It merely lets you play the maps in OpenRCT2. Some of the quirks of RCT1 are really charming, like guests wearing brighter color clothing. So you have to pick what works best for you. No one will begrudge you for your choice.
