What game took you the longest to finish? Megaman X was the first SNES game I bought (aside from the pack-ins). I never could beat Sigma's final form as a kid. It wasn't until years later that I finally did. Now that shit is a breeze and I think I was just a stupid kid.
>>12546494Maybe Breath of Fire III. It took me around 50 hours.

What's next? Dancing baby?
>>12546546That was never a 4chan meme. Still haven't done Cracky-chan or NO U. Maybe a WRYYYYYYYYYYY?
>>12546494i played Betrayal At Krondor on and off for 6 yrs. until i read a walkthrough and looted all the wordlock chests.

>>12546570Nice. I'll keep that in mind.
>>12546556i am a nigra
>>12546587Could do BIX NOOD, but it would get deleted for racism outside of /b/.
>>12546568Krondor before guides was a hellish game yea.The other game that took me the longest to beat in the pre-internet era was deadly towers. No magazine had hints for it, no gamefaq for another decade, nothing but graph paper and mindless exploring, while goign back to start of game when you died. Only a password to save your progress, which still returned you to start of game. Pic related is just one of many hidden dungeons, on top of the games over-world exploration, and the 7 towers themselves, and the mirror world for each.Fuck that game. Every other NES game you could brute force and beat eventually, it was like if festers quest was 5x larger, exponentially harder, had instant death pitfalls, and all sewer entrances were invisible and teleported you randomly. With gamefaqs the game is streamlined and manageable, saving you literally months of trial and error exploration. Still not enjoyable but I put it up there on my hardest games I ever beat.
it took me like 10 years to get past the cafe level. nothing after that was remotely as hard besides only getting one chance at the final level
Halo CE was my first game. It took me 3 years to finish as a kid. I got completely lost in Silent Cartographer and especially 343 Guilty Spark.I love it more than any other game but man the level design is fucking atrocious at times.
The rolling boulder section. I don’t know if I was retarded or what but that thing was impossible.
>>12546494I got stuck in Miracle Warriors and could not find the hidden final dungeon, then the battery save failed me once. I think I got it around '94 and finished it in 2005.
Got this and Crash Bash shortly after their respective release dates and only beat Oxide times / 200% a few months back. CTR was actually way easier than I expected but that's probably because I had the PAL version and used Penta, I'll probably try and do it on NTSC some day. Bash is unfiltered horseshit though, I still don't know how I beat Melt Panic or Jungle Fox as Crash.
More than 20 years to beat Mission Impossible on NES
Probably SMB1. I had it as a kid, but I doubt I ever finished it. I lost interest as a I got older and finally sat down and finished it maybe ten years ago.
>>12546494Baldur's Gate and it's expansion. It took me like a month.
>>12546604>The other game that took me the longest to beat in the pre-internet era was deadly towers.oh no, i played it in the 2000s emulated. i just refused to check an FAQ until 6 yrs later!
I still haven't beat The Lion King.
