I wanted to reply to the thread a couple of days ago but 4chan was being gay for men.Basically, I agree with what OP and other posters said here:>>12551786>>12553028You can tell OP *actually* played the game because his comments are valid and accurate. However, then there's posters like this:>>12552104...who have only ever either watched a few videos, or played maybe the first 45 minutes of the game. There are difficult battles throughout the game, and you do have to learn how to approach some specific battles, how to change up your team, etc. It's true that the combat can be repetitive, the story is half-baked, there's no auxiliary gameplay other than hopping from one battle to the next. But I think the worst part is that difficulty is inconsistent. You can face ten easy battles in a row and then one hard one. It gets very boring doing the same thing over and over again. The main game would be a lot more enjoyable with half the number of battles and more consistent difficulty. If there were an overworld, an actual story, and more interactions with characters, the game would be an all-time banger. It's really an IP that Capcom should revisit and polish up to modern standards.I genuinely still enjoy the game despite its flaws. There's some great combat there, and really enjoyable team customization. It's best played in short bursts, and it's not a game I can recommend to everyone, but I still do love the game despite its flaws.
>>12560042>However, then there's posters like this:>>>12552104(You)(Cross-thread)That's me.>or played maybe the first 45 minutes of the gameCorrect, and I demonstrated you can clear the first hour or so of the game by only pressing a single button demonstrating the game really needed a pass for difficulty if you could get that far without even touching the analog stick in combat.I stopped playing because it's really boring and only gets a pass because it's a le epic gamecube exclusiverino from the capcom five. Since I made my original posts about the game the games price dropped about $200. Perhaps demonstrating Gotcha Force is more of a gotcha farce has turned away eager buyers and forced sellers to lower the price to get their attention again. Still too expensive, I think the game is worth about $30 for the nice presentation at least. Then again that's more expensive than Kya Dark Lineage which is a more attractive game with a bare minimum of challenge so maybe $12-15 is more appropriate for Gotcha Force. You're welcome for me helping lower the price by the way, I did so through a small campaign on a few different sites to help disinterest people in this game. Saved you a couple hundred! The guy I mentioned who gets really defensive unfortunately spent about $650-700 on his copy based on when he got hyper-fixated on it. Poor guy. Well that's a blow to the wallet and you can recover from it, even if you got suckered hard.Metacritic clocks the reviews in at 56/100, which is too high. Edge Magazine hit it with a 30/100 while Nintendophiles stuck it with an 81, claiming fans of Smash bros (????? it's a 3D mech game....) and Power Stone (OK there's some plausibility here but why would they want this boring shit?) would be interested in the "frantic" battle action of this game.Actually there's a few outlets with "Nintendo" in the name that really liked it. Nintendojo even calls it an extremely good alternative to the failed Pokemon Channel. What?
>>12560525You lost and were humiliated as usual.

>>12560628Was embarrassing yourself part of your plan?
>>12560525You're pathetic, stop embarrassing yourself.
I genuinely believe Capcom should rerelease this game or perhaps put some money towards a sequel, now more than ever since they no longer are making the Gundam Vs games that this is based on. Hell, they could prop up a new entry with a proper competitive scene like Bamco with EXVS, and it wouldn't subtract from street fighter attention because it plays very differently.
>>12560525>, claiming fans of Smash bros (????? it's a 3D mech gameI think thats because both melee and it supposedly share the same game engine or something
>>12560525>Correct, and I demonstrated you can clear the first hour or so of the game by only pressing a single button demonstrating the game really needed a pass for difficulty if you could get that far without even touching the analog stick in combat.Holy shit, it's even more retarded than I thought. You can't judge the entirety of a game based on the first hour of gameplay -- especially when that first hour involves you playing the game in the slowest, most boring way possible. You intentionally played the game the wrong way and then called it bad and simplistic because the choices you made artificially lengthened the gameplay. It's like Morrowind is incredibly boring and slow because you've chosen never to enable "run" or use fast travel, and intentionally gimped your speed.>You're welcome for me helping lower the price by the way, I did so through a small campaign on a few different sites to help disinterest people in this game. Who cares if a game you bought goes down in value? But also its CIB price has been flat for like the last 5 years except for the post-Covid bump that all video games experienced, so what are you even talking about lmao
>>12561640>You can't judge the entirety of a game based on the first hour of gameplayI judged enough, the game was boring and I don't care about it.>especially when that first hour involves you playing the game in the slowestYeah because I wanted to see if the game would reject the play style but it didn't.>You intentionally played the game the wrong way And yet it let me progress. That's objectively bad game design. The progression wasn't noticeably slow, your opponents walk toward you to die.>People that actually buy games to play don't view them as investmentsYou don't buy games so I'm not interested in what you think about them or their value.
>>12561853>heh i intentionally played the tutorial the dumbest way possible, and by doing so I proved the game is bad!yeah okay dawg, you're even more retarded than I thought>You don't buy games so I'm not interested in what you think about them or their value. Are you ever right about anything? Like, even once or twice, accidentally?
>>12562254If your game takes an hour to push against the player, it's a bad game.
