Has anybody played this yet? Looks like a cross between Hylics 2, Fear and Hunger with a dash of Vagrant Story.

Game physically hurts my eyes
>>3456951
also this
>>
Looks cool, I like the art style. I'll buy it when it's on sale.
>>
I played it for a little, reminds me of a game I made when I took "Computer Programming" class in 6th grade.
Humorous writing, "historically accurate", bare bones RPG mechanics, plays like an adventure game
>>
I liked the trailer, there is something mesmerizing about that game
>>
Game has soul. Pure indie kino
>>
>>3456969
C'mon, he was constantly showing progress around here and it's easily top 0.1% of all rpgm games.
>>
>>3456949
I saw this earlier but it was a hard pass for me. $10.99 for a somewhat barebones RPG Maker game that appears to have only 3ish hours of content is ridiculous. It tells me the game wouldn't even be worth pirating.
Really, any RPGM game on Steam is a red flag.
>>
>>3456949
That is the first time a game trailer gave me headache.
>>

>Looks cool, I like the art style. I'll buy it when it's on sale.
Never played it, but it's $10.99 on steam. Why are you even playing games if you can't afford a $10.99 game?
>>
>>3456949
I liked the game, found It Fun and quite challenging, albeit really short.
I like the story, pacing is a little weird but I enjoy It that you are free to explore anywhere during the acts.
Dialogue, soundtrack and aesthetics were very charming, and I liked the Monster design.
>>
>>3457490
Because the money is his and doesn't think it's worth ten dollars? Stop being cringe or I won't buy your game either.
>>
>>3457493
Jokes on you I never made a game.
>>
>>3457490
11 dollars is not a large amount of money, but if someone charges you 11 dollars for a single strip of bubble gum you probably would not buy it
>>
>>3457497
Only shame is he will end up with like 50% tops.
>>3456980
I only buy games on sale.
>>
ghost suburb better

Paying for this is a much better deal than paying $76 for Dragon's Dogma 2, that I can tell you

now now, anon. don't get my hopes up.

He hasn't posted in about a year or more. I'm still glad he's releasing though.

needs to die

Go outside if you want realistic graphics.
>>
>>3456949
i watched comedian Chris Chappel play it for youtubez bucks.

now ask the guys who actually paid for bad ESL text written for CYOA games. >>3458764
>>
>>3459223
those colors are really awful, anon
>>
>>3458905
Modern gaming obsession with “good graphics” is a major part of why the majority of new games suck.
>>
>>3456949
Looks like SOUL overload. I'll still pirate it

okay if i like it ill buy it, only because were neighbours

Does anyone have any more recommendations like this? Historical rpgs, preferably with horror elements in them too.
>>
>>3461802
it's not historical, the game puts Austria-Hungary inventions in the middle of hussite era
>>
>>3461802
Note that all of them have different levels of historical inaccuracies:

>RPGMaker
Black Souls 2 (has horror elements)
Fear & Hunger (has horror elements)
>regular games
Kingdom Come: Deliverance
Expeditions: Rome, Viking and Conquistador
Pentiment
Nioh
Titan Quest
>historical-themed (no connection to real-life history, but you might enjoy them regardless)
Darkest Dungeon (has horror elements)
Wartales
Battle Brothers
Witcher

Some of them, like Titan Quest, I imagine are only using historical locations for flavour and are wildly inaccurate. I wouldn't know, I always skip the story in Diablo-likes.
>>
>>3461820
that was a joke retard
>>
>>3459245
it takes about as much effort to make off-putting graphics like as it takes to make something decent.
>>
>>3458905
It looks good. Have you ever heard of stylization? Maybe it is not the coomer shit with big tittied women that you'd prefer?
>>
>>3456949
>a cross between Hylics 2, Fear and Hunger with a dash of Vagrant Story.
so totally derivative and to be avoided, got it

The writing is just medieval Hangover, or the worst jokes in Fable. I don't know why everyone is treating it like it's a masterpiece.
>you're an alcoholic knight with a meme face where everyone speaks like monty python
>your wife is a sarcastic whore who spends her time quipping at you and sending killers with no consequence because it's just an extended boomer joke
>everyone literally would rather spend their time making fun of the player character instead of investigating a town on fire in front of them. Not in an incompentent bureaucracy commentary way but just to be a retarded cardboard joke dispenser
You might as well be consuming any other "medieval" comedy slop like those "what if fantasy rpgs were real life???" skits.

I'm playing it in Slovak (note: I don't speak a whiff of Slovak) and I think it's funny. It's sometimes a bit hard to understand though, I wish it was in Czech instead.
>>
>>3462534
If it's just that the English localization guy is that bad, then my statements don't reflect on the original script. I know the dev doesn't have English as a priority translation. That's fine, but whoever doing it now would be giving the game a completely different feeling compared to whatever the original wanted to most players.
>>
>>3462546
It's supposedly getting retranslated

This isn't a game from my childhood that I replay the first hour of impulsively, so it's gonna be a no from me.
