New Vegas Laser Rifle.Just love needing to invest in a weapon to get the most out of it. The Beam Splitter mod lowering damage but letting each beam do full unmodded crit damage and the Laser Commander perk adding more crits alongside other crit perks. Has the highest accuracy in the game and unlike regular guns you can actually see your shots so I'm not sitting there wondering how I missed when the enemy was in the middle of my crosshairs. Medium Scope modification with good rate of fire is also great for that battle rifle feel.Finding an extremely low condition laser rifle on a guy killed by the Legion in Nipton, restoring it to full condition, buying all the mods and crafting Max Charge and Optimized Microfusion Cells for it and getting a great crit build out of it feels so rewarding compared to getting a weapon that's powerful right out the box.

>>3611533When I play hand-to-hand, I always make sure to grab a pair of spiked knuckles. Powerfist and its variants do more damage, but spiked knuckles are easier to maintain due to no ammo cost. In later games, repairs are cheap and drops are fairly common.
