Our thirsts were quenched. But new thirsts have emerged!
Love your Nosh.

>>3628764Uhh buddy. The Demons Roots thread is that way.
Those of you who have played Thirst and understand it, tell me, out of our 6 party members please rank them from best girl to worst girl
>>3628815I'm having a hard time ranking them because they're all really good. I can't say any of them are weak either, unlike with kludge's cast (looking at you, Lusica and Faria). My personal ranking would be Outoku >= Aruko > Prim >= Tsue > Uula > Nazuna. Yes, this is a game where the newer characters beat out the returning ones.
>>3628821How lovey dovey does Outoku become? What is Tsue's late-game relationship personality like?
>>3628826Outoku is similar to a lot of characters from awake where they would go into heat often. She's actually the most sex-hungry of the bunch.Tsue is tsundere, simply put. I won't say much more since it would ruin her surprises.
>>3628821those eyes, oh no, mana tank awakened her didn't he?
Ooohhh cunny
>either have to play with a shitty MTL or wait up to a year for a proper translation
>>3628860The era of SEQUEL translations is over.
>>3628866We had it too good for too long.
>>3628860You can at least improve your japanese language comprehension by using MTL + japanese learning tools when playing
>>3628821rank em based on how many kissing/hugs they give in their CGs
This guy was the first real challenge. Fuck you hackika for gating ailment-immune accessories behind progression.
>>3628860Actually, the Thirst translation is already shockingly far along. They had what they'd already translated from the demo done to begin with, and currently they're sitting at (as per the f95 thread;) 108/345. I'm not entirely sure what all that number includes, but I'd say it's pretty accurate/close to the map count of 332.
>>3628944The 345 files are the files in the data folder of the game folder, i.e. everything that needs to be translated. Items, common events, maps, etc.
>>3628944hmm that's pretty good news. I may wait for them to finish
>>3628944>108/345.Holy shit what. That's nearly a third in and this game was released like a week ago.
>>3628933You will likely have even more trouble with the mansion boss that’s coming up. For that one, being Acolyte might help because they have an innate 50% confusion resist that stacks with the 50% resist accessory.
>>3628821>Nazuna lastShe was insanely good in Awake, did she got worse or are the other that good?
>>3628944To be progressing so fast means they're just doing MTL and giving it a pass-through to make it readable aren't they...
>>3628983I’m just not a fan of her, personally. She’s still great during the main story. Her fifth scene is also really hot.

>>3629069I'll be surprised if she's not gonna have any scenes where she's either riding or tit fucking mana tank, she definitely looks like a typical fiesty redhead

>>3629069>>3629070In Ghost Path 2, one of the final blacksmiths is in the japanese town in the dark world of the game (also named Shusuikyo, like Shikinowa's capital 秋水京) and has Haruka's family name outside on the sign too>刀剣鍛冶、春火の鍛冶場>春火Fucking hakika.
>>3629238DEEPEST. LORE.
I wonder which waifu has the objectively best pussy…
>>3629306Get in them curtains anon.Do it now.
>>3629306I'd imagine Dita's. Mana Tank could barely thrust into it.
>>3629306Depends. Some people like different things. We know Dita's pussy is insanely tight and very hot inside which made Mana Tank cum instantly. Yanie's is said to not be loose at all and still be a comfortably snug fit even when she's done stuffing larger toys in it before sex. Some are kinda stretchy like Nosh's. Succubus pussy undulates or moves in a certain way to milk men faster too. Malice's pussy is like her body too which is plump, meaty, and squishy.
>>3629306Yubeil has the power of science and engineering backing hers. She made MT cum twice in like 15 seconds without any foreplay.
I don't care who have the best pussy, I want the best donut.
>>3629335Frabi

Playing on Joiplay and I can save and load just fine, all of mu savefiles work without issueBut I'm not seeing the save folder inside the game, which is a problem because I want to back-up themThere is no www folder either but thats normal for MZ games I guess?
>>3629507Which game are you playing? Thirst? There should just be a save folder in the same folder as the exe. For the VX Ace games, all the saves were just right next to the exe too
>>3629510Ino, sorry I thought his game were the only non-VXA game so thats why I just mentioned>but thats normal for MZ games I guess?
>>3629511Yeah, Ino Rules is MZ, there should just be a save folder in the main folder with the exe, data folder, img folder etc. Same as thirst.
>>3629513I have no idea where Joiplay is storing the savefiles, I don't know what to do anymore honestly
>>3629516Is saving working for you? Maybe just try making a folder named save
>>3629507>>3629516I'm not a joiplay expert but just googling "joiplay save location" gave me this"Android/data/cyou.joiplay./files/gamename" You can try googling more to find an answer. Or maybe someone else here knows.
>>3629519Didn't worked, tried saving on a empty slot and can still save normally but the folder is still emptyHonestly it would be easier to indentify the issue if I could NOT save, because then it would just be a write permission issue, but I know Joiplay has permission access to my game folders so I don't understand what happened here.
>>3629521I thought about that before but the only folders there are the RTP and Log ones
>>3629395>Hasn't Yanie always been vaginal only?At about 99%, she had 1% from her scene where she jack off with anal beads up her ass.I'm still in fucking shambles she never had any proper anal scene.
>>3628981Yeah, he's a tricky little piece of shit. The idea of giving him both stun and confusion was definitely a brilliant one. Unfortunately, hackika in his infinite wisdom made it so that Acolyte's trait + Composure guard don't actually stack additively so about every 10th or so cast it still inflicts confusion. That makes Acolyte absolute garbage since that class has a very low AGI. For this fight, you want to go Warrior and just outtank the retard with high health, 5% restoration per turn + slave's hatchet. The fact one of his moves still has some kind of priority is bullshit so I had to do it in two tries.
>>3629571Impressive. I think you may be able to coast along till you get to the final boss. There’s one reaper boss you might have trouble with underneath the mansion. I’ll just give you a protip for it, it doesn’t inflict instant death with one of its attacks. Instead it does 100% of your current HP, so if you know what turn it’s going to come out, you can just guard it and it just does half damage.
>>3629584Yeah, I already know what that guy does, I spent quite some time beating him in Asylum, I even learnt all of his moves. But I will probably need to get insanity immunity first, since that's what killed me when I tried to take him on. I mean, I can always just grind the Ribbon if I get angry enough about how useless those "resistance" accessories are.
Has Hakika ever mentioned his background?
https://leafgeo.booth.pm/Outoku, Uula, Tsue and Aruko's figure pages went up over the past two days. Still out of stock though.
>>3629591No. His background is a mystery to us. All we know is around 2008 he used to make Touhou smut and doujins. and that was also around the time he started making his own music. Then in 2011 he started doing game development, with Atline being his first game. And then in 2017 he released SEQUEL blight.
>>3629824I wonder why he didn't make an eroge as his first game. Maybe to keep things simpler
>>3629849Probably because he didn’t know if it would be profitable or not. He probably enjoyed being a Touhou doujin artist too. I think it worked out in the end. He was able to garner a fanbase before even starting to sell his games, that’s why blight is his best selling game with over 30k sales.
>>3629849Two possibilities: Either eroge sells and he knew this/learned this after making Blight or his horny lower brain took over.
>>36298492011 was likely a harder time compared to nowadays everything can have a paywall and online selling. He made the PREQUEL for fun seeing as they were F2P. I don’t think he knew how to make deals to sell a series. Neither was confident in it until building some connections and awareness first
>snow village>literally 3 houses and 12 people totalBravo hackika, that's just one extended family at best. Or is that enough to be considered a "village" in nipland?
>>3629948Todd Howard would be pleased.
>>3629948The Atline one only has 3 houses too, it's consistent
You just know Chemica has spent multiple late nights schlicking to MT and Frabi fucking
>>3630178Absolutely. One can only imagine what she does in her free time after colony
>>3630208I wish Hakika did more scenes where at least one of the girls acknowledges MT engaging in homosex and being aroused by it. Super hot imho
Currently fully explored all areas except the dragon island, but the first boss there is much higher stats than everything else I've fought so far. I've also made it to what seems like the last story boss, but I got my shit kicked in.Where do I go from here? Just grind until I can beat the snow dragon?

>>3630323Yes, you need to grind for the snow dragon boss. Use an ice resist and earth resist brand on your gear too. After you beat the snow dragon, you’ll get access to gold chests for +50% stat gear and more importantly Supreme gear (+30% all stats, the better version of Excellent gear). You’ll also get access to the better expeet room in Amasera after getting enough landmarks in dragonland.
>>3630382are you translating ruinswald?
>>3630382Godspeed.
how weird is L. Depth now that it's an MV/MZ game instead of VX Ace? does it feel weird/super different now?
>>3630482It's not super hard to adjust to, it's mostly just getting used to the fact that walking across tiles is treated differently in the engine, and the fact that skipping dialogue is WAY faster in the new engine. Innocent Rules is way weirder to play since a lot of the hotkeys for things like teleporting to base and such are different. It also took me a decent while to get used to the fact that F5 doesn't bring up the log anymore, it just resets the game. In fact if there's a button to open the log at all anymore, I haven't found it.
>>3630501There’s no log in L.Depth or Innocent Rules for some reason. There’s one in thirst though.
https://x.com/hakika_/status/1843216717004321258Hakika’s working on v1.10 of thirst now. He shared foxes. I do hope the update focuses on Yuuyami, like how the update for Innocent Rules focused on Kann.
>>3630441nta, but what about the broad EN translation? All the ones I found in gitgud are in JP
>>3630533The english translation is just a patch right now, you get it from ZigmaZero’s github that was posted. Do the green Code button and hit download zip, and just take the en 1.12 folder and paste the files in there over your v1.12 game folder.
>>3630529Been kinda out of the loop for thirst, please tell me when can fuck the flat fox
>>3630501Nice to know my lore recording will be 3 times harder after IR is done.
>>3630382Happening!
>>3630501>F5 doesn't bring up the log anymore, it just resets the gameOh tell me about it. In later 62Studio games they used that more advanced engine and muscle memory kept making me reset it.They did have another button to open log through like Page Up or scrolling up.
>>3630501F5 going from log opening to game reset is absolute heinous
>>3630597It’s hilarious to me. It’s just a coincidence since F5 is now the game reset button for MZ instead of F12 like in the VX Ace games. I don’t think you can change it back to be F12 in MZ either. At least in thirst, the dialogue log is back, but it’s accessed through the Tab key.
>>3630529She might have a role opening up or being a vendor for the super dungeon, but Hakika already said 1.10 isn't planned to have any new sex scenes, aside from potentially adding Ten's scenes if he figures out what he wants her to do sexually.
does saveeditonline work with SEQUEL? I want to cheat in my next playthrough for fun
This whole F5 thing.I remember someone once said RPG Maker games are essentially web pages. Could it be that they somehow used the default reload button for the game itself?
>>3630638All MV and MZgames are running nw.js, which is a chromium wrapper. The engines are literally just glorified browsers.
>>3630655Imagine Sequel as an old flash game series back in the early 2000s, sounds like RPG maker is the successor to browser flash games.
>>3630562Postgame. She only has two feet scenes. A footjob scene and one where Mana Tank masturbates onto her feet.
>>3630853>spoilerA sexy design wasted on THAT? For shame, Hakika
>>3630866To be fair, I think hakika didn't want to give Yuuyami sex scenes since the oriental succubus is in the game too. She got a sex scene and a facesit scene, and she looks extremely similar.
Giving self-inserts dumb names is one of the few joys I still have.
>>3630884Me too
Does Thirst have any three way scenes between girls and Manatank?
>>3630916No. Nothing like the scenes with Lusica and Yubeil together.
>>3630919For supposedly being a world where men are rare, there aren't enough women that'd be into men and women
Okay, so apparently Durom just has an instakill ability in his second phase that he can use with only one turn cooldown. I think I could maybe put together a solo build that can overcome his bullshittery with 99 points, but at level 45 I will fucking implode trying to fit in multi-ailment immunity, heal, defensive stats, at least two disabling skills and some way to deal him 44k damage before he outskills me with his oneshot. The really disheartening part is the need to beat his first phase first, maybe if I could start with Hollow Dream right away I would have figured something out eventually, but doing them both in a row is DS-style humiliation ritual. I don't have it in me to grind pity Chickeners in Ancient Era's Town for 50+ more levels, so I'm considering giving in and just using my party like it was "intended". If anyone knows how to beat his retarded ass solo, I could use a tip since my gaming skills are failing me.Fuck you hackika, at least Nightmare Oniro in Asylum was literally the last postgame boss before the two supers. And you have access to all weapons in the game at that point.
>>3630884I should have settled for "John Sequel"
>>3630919https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G6Mdmc1qKA4
>>3631030what the fuck, he's here too
>>3630964Yeah. I realized earlier that you would be walled by that 99999 damage attack he does. The only counterplay I can think of is via one of the postgame guardian accessories Sword-shaped Key, which gives you a skill that makes you unkillable for a few turns. It’s absolutely busted when doing a solo run. But that’s postgame only, so it’d be locked to a NG+ run.
>>3630964>at least Nightmare Oniro in Asylum was literally the last postgame boss before the two supers. And you have access to all weapons in the game at that point. What did that guy do again? I frogto
>>3631188His actual name is Scala's Oniro and he inflicts a unique Nightmare debuff that functions like Sleep, but from what I can tell the only way to get rid of it to cleanse it with another character. So if you play with solo Malice it functions like a instant kill. I couldn't get it to be evaded or reflected, but I wasn't running 100% setup at that point so that's not fully confirmed. The way to bypass it is to disable him whenever he goes for it, so you have to write down all his moves and take out him out of action at critical times. The problem with that approach is that hackika, in his infinite wisdom, made it so each stun on a boss increases his resistance to it, and you can only inflict bind a SINGLE time throughout the fight. So you have maybe 3 interrupts at best to deal 152k damage. It boils down to gaming the odds by getting 2-3 lucky crits during the fight. Oh, but you can't get those crits in a row because then he gets angry and disrupts his usual turn order with his Nightmare Surge attack going earlier and more often.I think hackika just forgot about this boss when making the game, since literally every single other one can beaten properly and cleanly like a puzzle fight.
>>3630964 Did you try just using Queen’s Royal Bind and Mechanic’s stun skill to bypass the turns when he uses that oneshot? If I remember right, he has a turn rotation for it, it’s on turn 4 or 5.One thing you also may want to look out for in the postgame is the Apocalypse axe, its weapon skill is the strongest attack in the game but can only be used once per fight. Sword-shaped Key is also a great accessory.
>>3631245That was my plan and I think it can be done with enough planning and tries at level 99, but I can't physically both heal myself, stun/bind him, throw shit bombs, deal 44k damage with pre-postgame weapons fast enough all while having a mandatory accessory slot taken up by a ribbon at level 45. There is also a chance he uses bind on me himself and one shots me right after. If he hadn't have a stupid first phase I would keep trying, but I refuse to keep fighting the copy-paste boss I have already beaten just for the access to the actually challenging one. Guess he's a NG+ only fellow. But obviously if anybody here has beaten him during first run solo you're welcome to brag.
>>3631255Not sure if level 99 would be necessary, it might be doable at much lower levels. But who knows.
>>3631245N I C EB O D Y
>>3631245>>3631256I did a few additional runs and his turn rotation is a complete fuckfest. He can use Consign to Oblivion as his first action, as his third or as 11th. Having to try to guess which order he's going for in a particular battle is pure madness with his gatekeeping first phase so I will accept being bested by hackika and move on with my life. No, I will not grind the 30 more or however many levels I need to bulldoze through with raw stats. Maybe in a couple years I will come back and do 100 runs to map out the best course of actions against him. But for now I want to play the damn game, not to spin the wheel of fortune hoping to get a zero.At least there's a wacky title drop.
>>3631391Honestly I still think you can do the postgame solo, given that Being of Myth was beaten solo. It’s on youtubehttps://youtu.be/xSSrqOXW3Ko?si=Wl5G4rA467nUvPHY
>>3631406That's the plan, I will keep playing solo, just will have to use the save editor to downlevel everyone else back to level 2 so they die faster. I will watch the video after I either beat the superboss or fail to.So far the game has been boring, I hope the postgame is fun.
>SHIKINOVA PREFECTURE>AKASUKI CAPITAL TOWN>TENGU SHIROSHIMA>TAKAYANAGI FUNAMI It's gonna be a pain to remember any of these names
>>3631435>weebville>Niptown>gaijinburgIt’s that easy.
>>3631431Blight's main story is pretty boring, not gonna lie. The postgame is much better. The Palgadol chapter is the best part of the game, easily.I'm curious, you played Asylum first right? Do you think that game is better than blight?
>>3631447Compared to Asylum, Blight's regular chapters are barren, both in boss encounters, loot and exploration. Now, after Asylum's schizophrenic mess of map layout, traversing though simple forks was easy, but... unfulfilling in a way? There wasn't really a sense of "Holy fuck I actually found the way out of Argental and picked up all the coins" that I had in Asylum. And you don't really find good stuff if you search everything, unlike Asylum. I assume that's the quirks of the first game in series. Some sort of middle ground would be the best. Also the synthesis and gathering parts were an overall downside, big minus for design. Not that hunting for mob drops is a lot better, but I shouldn't have to collect 5 red fruits to get my accessory. The class tree in both games could use more interesting additions, not just be "X damage of Y element for Z weapon" for the half of it.Plot-wise? Blight also had nothing happening at all, it all boiled down to "The guy wants to take over the world and only you, the super special, can stop him".I think starting with Asylum was the right call for me, I would never stomach going through Blight without it. I can't say definitively which game is better yet, but while I would recommend Asylum to others unironically, Blight is only for the invested.
>>3631465I too think that blight is really oddly designed. But it is the first game though, so it’s forgivable since there are lots of improvements to the formula that come with each game afterwards. Honestly I only started getting really into the game when I got to the end of it, since I liked the final areas in Ancient Era’s Town and the final bosses. Blight’s main story is just a dumb Macguffin hunt for most of it. It’s why the Palgadol chapter is way better, go do that ASAP if you can.

>>3631659Post your questions then. We have resident lorekeepers here.
>>3632130How old is Lestea?
>>3632141I’d say at least 100 or 200 years old. She was around when Olvan was still around, and he’s described as Auris’s ancestor. Not grandparent, but ancestor. Additionally, she was around when there were still men in Shikinowa.
>>3632158Doesn't look a day over 35

>>3632181Remember when people thought Dita was gonna involve chastity play because of the key around her neck?
>>3632204Yeah. I wish she got a heeljob scene too.
>>3632158Alright now this got me terribly confused. >>3632209>flashback with her and OlvanIt's unknown how long this was, as mentioned before. Since Lestea's age is up in the air.>time between coffins and their awakening with RabiThis is about 20 years. Rabi said it was "about the same time it takes for a child to grow into an adult".
I still can't believe Rabi went from the main character of her own game to someone that's just there to shout random shit while the rest of the characters are busy being relevant to the plot. Wtf Hakika.
>>3632217I mean, she was barely the main character in her game anyway. the one in the party that got shit done was Tirma.
Nazuma wearing that "i HATE suicide" tshirt
Progress as of yet:Actors, Classes, States, Common Events, System, Terms doneEnemies mostly doneItems partially doneDreading touching the Skills because there's roughly under 800 of them, which is for reference, double the amount in Ghost Path.Other miscellaneous stuff that's done is the transfer swords being changed to match the measurements in SEQUEL, as well as the item pickups being made shiny.Additional weird thing: Caadenaat (as per subpar's translation in Awake) is the name of a hospital, but for some reason the relevant named enemies and maps are missing the first part, instead making it Denaat. はきか、どうしてですか?
>>3632253>Dreading touching the Skills because there's roughly under 800 of themdamn that's quite a lot
>>3632253Aren't there like 40 classes in Ruinswald? Just pick away at the skills a few classes at a time, there's no rush. There are some easy holdover skills like Ice, Wide Ice, Ice Age World too etc. that hakika uses over and over, those are freebies
How do anons rank thirst so far? Just got the 6th party member already (raccoon good) and wish they were more spread out and not so front loaded
>>3632262Great game overall. The party is really fun and has a lot of banter.
>>3632262Better than kludge and awake. Good characters and story. Although MT's presence is weak here, weaker than colony. Possibly in the whole series
>>3632273Yes, his presence is definitely lesser than in colony and even kludge. I don't think that's a bad thing though, the spotlight goes more towards Nazuna, Prim and Aruko. I enjoyed that aspect of it a lot since they're great characters that drive the plot forward.
>>3632273>>3632274>another case of the "MC" getting shafted as the series progressesI had some hopes during blight despite him being a self-insert, but i guess it was too much
FINALLY I finished Asylum's ending B, what the fuck was that time travel bs, the little shit buying time so he can get MT on board with what's going on?
>>3632290The superbosses are non-canon, that's all
>>3632290Hackika doing the usual noncommittal ending. The real reason is he wanted players to be able to keep playing, that all. But credits roll with an option to come back would have been so much better.
>>3632292But I thought Ending B is the canon one?
>>3632464Hakika said two things are canon>ending B happens (Malice sides with Versa)>the postgame story with Caith happensThat’s it. The superbosses aren’t canon.
>>3632273>better than kludgeDoubt. No homoglobo femboy buttbottom will ever match kuu for me. Hakika needs to bring him back in the next game.

>>3632682I’ve listened to Haven’s town theme and the field theme north of Haven on loop way too many times. Hakika knows how to make a bop.
>>3632682>>3632695>start Atline>a prototype of Haven's theme plays inside Jack's house>the very title menu theme of Atline that starts with the sound of the Dimensional Train running its tracks is actually used a boss theme late in Blight.La Creatividad
Well, that was a very disappointing superboss. When I first tried to see what she does I pissed my pants at her 14k damage attack, but it turns out all that damage comes from her self-buff. Without it, she literally deals 10x less damage. So as long as you throw shit bombs at her right as she casts it, she's not a threat. Unfortunately I didn't test that first and overprepared so much that she was dealing about 400-700 damage a turn to me. Maybe the second one will be tougher.Blight got kinda much faster paced during the postgame, I liked it.
>>3632805MoAL is a chump compared to Being of Myth, power-wise. You’ll see.
>>3632495Thirst is obviously worse than kludge in the homo department because Kuu has 10 scenes and is a main party member
>>3632805>Uula supremacy
>>3632273Like lack of presence in the main story or overall?
>>3632824>worse*better
>>3632824I liked Kuu except when he was doing the yandere maid thing.
>>3632902Same. I don't find his maid scenes erotic at all.
>>3628985Absolutely without a doubt. I only know of two translators(Trip and Rogue) that can legitimately work that fast and they both died after about three games. I don't know how many lines Thirst is, but about 60-80 lines/hr is about the upper limit for a competent translator. 100+ sustained is considered ungodly. Then factor in the dicipline needed to do that for more than a an hour or two a day
>>3628754do these games have good gameplay/lore or is it just mainly porn?
>>3632916I think the guy might just be tackling small map files with a few lines of text here and there (like object dialogue/smarrels, and cutscene dialogue). Thirst has plenty of maps without any cutscenes, so it'd be easy to translate those and artificially "speed up" your translation progress. The biggest thing that will be a roadblock for qudere here is the Common Events file. Hakika puts all the h-scenes, mini-scenes and dialogue events in there so they can be replayed in the memory space. I guess we'll only know if it's MTL when we see it though. I'd like to think it's not MTL, since the demo's translation that the guy did certainly didn't read like MTL.
>>3632917The porn is like ~10% of the entire package. The whole gist of the series is that people got into it because of the porn, but stuck around because they got hooked on the gameplay/lore/story/characters/music.
So if I have this right: ZigmaZero is working on an Innocent Rules translation on and off, qudere is working on a Thirst translation with consistent progress, and Mythseeker is starting on a Ruinswald translation? The community seems to be pretty active right now
>>3632924Yep, that's all correct. I still wonder if sub-par will ever come back though, even with all these translations around
>>3632737Thought it was also Rabi at the other image at first glance
>>3632979The hair color had to come from somewhere
whatever happened to subpar? burnout?
>>3633013If that's the case, it really shouldn't be a surprise- the real question that should be asked is how hakika manages to keep it up every year making more stuff.
>>3632867Lack of story is understandable, it's overall that is the problem. At the very least he's more noticeable in kludge having able to help disabling traps and other things
>>3633038In thirst he does help a bit by telling the party about his “dreams” he has. One of the plot points early on is that they can’t leave Shikinowa until they find out what’s wrong with him too.
>>3633033Hakika is an RPGM machine. The entire engine was probably invented for him personally.
>>3632919>but stuck around because they got hooked on the gameplay/lore/story/characters/musicgood joke anon
>>3632819Yeah, that was some real fucking bullshit on hackika's part. I can't imagine being the guy who did this in the video, this shit was maddening. I would never have the patience to sit around dicking with it for days without some kind of guide.I can understand long-winded chains of skills where one mistake can cost you everything (and even then there is absolutely no reason for it two have two phases that desync its turn order), but fucking Christ, redoing the fight of 1.4 m health from the beginning if you fail to press Soulbind at exactly the right time for it to go off??? That's just unnecessary. I had to practice maybe 30 times before I could get the exact chain right. I think culling the health to 800k total with phase transition at half health would make the fight much more manageable, it's physically difficult to keep yourself focused looking at those dumb RPGmaker buttons for so long. It was more of a fight against your own involuntarily closing eyes than the superboss.I honestly don't like how hackika thinks adding oneshot abilities that you can only overcome with literal almost abusive mechanics is fine. I thought I would try seeing which level is needed to bypass Durom's one shot and see what Terrifying difficulty is like, but this fight tired me out too much. I want to play some different game now.
>>3632902>only yandere in the whole SEQUEL series>and not even a yandere at allStrange
>>3633102>multiple snuff scenes>only one kinda sorta maybe yanderehackika
>>3633084I think the intended way to deal with Demigod Entasis and God Entasis is Alchemist’s Wall Area skill, or a bind or stun. Wall Area still works on it since it’s not a surge attack, funnily enough. Being of Myth is also arguably balanced around +1 gear you get from playing on NG+ terrifying mode, which boosts your stats a crapload.
>>3633102Hakika had to make him a yandere without doing bloodplay or whatever weird stuff. Maybe it would’ve been better if he did hold a knife up to MT at one point. I’d be more interested in Kuu if he returns again too.
>>3633219The things that i'd do to him and Ino if it weren't for the fact that they're boys
>>3633211Stats would make the fight shorter, but that's not the real problem. You can deal with all of her attacks in some way, and getting tired of following her pattern is well, a skill issue. But the dying attack that you need 35k health to tank? That just makes me exasperated. Now that I was able to get some sleep, I can say that Blight is really not that good overall. The postgame and postgame chapter were interesting, but they were super short. And while they were better than the rest of the game, it still was sill plotless "we're stuck here, now we wonder around cluelessly hoping something happens, oh and we have to save our friend that is about only 5 maps away now". Yes, Lilia's story snippets made it more bearable, but not to the point where I would legitimately care.I knew MC being self-insert would actively make the game less interesting, but that is seeping through every single event. Oh, he's man? Now literally every woman he meets instantly wants to milk him, and yeah of course he's the only man they ever met. I get the fantasy of wanting to be the coolest guy that women fall in love with instantly. But Mana Tank shows absolutely no qualities that would warrant that. He just doesn't do anything. He's not a hero, not brave, not smart, not even evil. If I'm to self-insert, I want to pretend I'm actually cool because I can do cool things, not that my semen is magical by itself. The attempts by hackika to constantly assuage the player by the party commenting "you're super special and you're the only reason why we could climb this ladder" are almost comical. No, I didn't do jack shit, it's all due to hard work by Uula and Tirma that anything got done. Nyx and Rabi were delegated to glorified Geiger counter and door kicker respectively.I maintain that ASYLUM is a superior game all around, even if that's somehow controversial and I'm supposed to hate it.
>>3633363Both blight and awake don’t do story that well. The best stuff out of both of them is from blight’s postgame. Mana Tank also doesn’t do that much in either blight or awake, so get used to that. He’s a spectator for events most of the time, with some plot relevance here and there. You’ll see in awake, colony and kludge. I’m curious to see what you’ll think of awake in particular, that one probably very easy to do a solo run in. It’s the easiest game by far.
>>3633363>shows absolutely no qualities that would warrant that. He just doesn't do anythingAt the very least, he's a good craftsman(synthesizing weapons) and an excellent cook. That's not saying much at all but still
>>3633373Guess I will just jump straight into Awake for now. I still have some time before Paradox 3 releases anyway and replaying Blight for some stat hunting isn't fun to me in the least.>>3633420I guess, if he's really the one doing all the weapons. Doesn't seem like he would be capable of it anyway.
>>3633422In awake he gets guidance from Pirila, one of the party members who is also a blacksmith. Then in colony he’s the only blacksmith around, so he handles upgrading and crafting himself. He even builds a bridge for the party to cross a gap with at one point.
At least he’s better than viss if any of you played his game
can i jump from Colony to Kludge or do i need to play Asylum?
>>3633459I think you can skip it and be fine. But feel free to go play it if you want more lore stuff.
>>3633465Asylum is good through, so you would be missing out big time.
>>3633422It's one of those few things about him that's kept somewhat consistent about him ever since from blight, and with the quality of weapons/artifacts he makes i'd say he's more than capable enough.>>3633446https://files.catbox.moe/qx5fu7.mkv>Pirila's guidance And seal of approval. One of the quests involve fixing Kuruha's sword, which is kind of important to her lore, or i could be wrong
>>3633446>>3633469Okay, he's a useful tool in human form, like Rabi and Nyx. I apologize.
>>3633474I wouldn't even blame you for the contemptful line of thoughts given at how the whole synthesizing thing, despite his so-called "skills" it's just the same case of the dev and his poor attempts at integrating gameplay to story stuff, the same way how Dire mentions that he's the "heart" of their explorations and that if it weren't for him they would be losing their way in the dungeons. Might be my personal bias for characters that can create stuff or alchemy. But nonetheless i'd stand by one thing that even as a self-insert he isn't as bad as people make out to be, but i have to agree that he is far from likeable and interesting.

And of course the first boss is the twin type garbage that deals double the damage because you're meant to use the tank. On the plus side, you only need to be level 3 to beat them. Probably can do this on level 2 if you stack up on jellies. The funny part is that getting Pirila killed off without losing any HP on Kuruha was more difficult and took more time.So far the first three girls didn't really leave any impression on me. Certainly not enough to make me try to do a solo playthough with one of them. Guess I will default to Kuruha for now on (since she has an insane pre-emptive 100% heal+cleanse) and swap to somebody else if needed for specific bosses. That passive tree is weird, why even add all those status effects if they are all countered by 4 LP tax?
>>3633919Kuruha will probably be the best contender for a solo run at the start. You'll get two other party members that I think will be very good contenders for it though. Especially the final party member.

>>3634836Oldfag here. This series originally became popular on /v/ back in 2020, right around when colony got translated and the train of /v/ Black Souls threads was slowing down. We actually made a conscious effort to move to /vrpg/ just like the Black Souls folks did, since it’s just essier to have threads here. >>3633925>>3633957I mean, I tried to have a go at this boss with Nazuna, but she just doesn't have anything useful, all of her skills are "deal damage" crap. You would need to grind 10 jellies to beat it with her or something. Meanwhile Kuruha doesn't even need her party to outheal him. I'm starting to see a certain pattern with this game.
>>3634986>worst defenses out of the entire roster>even as a physical attacker she is outmatched by future party membersPlease don't be too hard on the dumb fox, she's trying her best She actually learns some healing skills if that helps
>>3634996Nazuna is pretty much the best damage dealer in the game, isn't she? Her and Sheila are on a different level compared to everyone else.
>>3634996>striker self-heal from blight but on 6 turn cooldownLmao. It does scale with ATK, but that's so bad, you're better off using jellies. And yeah, her stats are overall garbage.>>3634999Sure, Nazuna has two buffs that increase her attack by 20% and 100%, but those only work for one attack. Meanwhile Kuruha has skills that read like something out of Paradox. It's like hackiha didn't even bother making them comparable to each other.
>>3635003She can turn those attack buffs into huge numbers because of one skill she has, Flash.
>>3635003Nazuna has a 20%, 100% and 150% ATK buff. And then Flash multiplies that again by being a 440 power skill with One Mind active. She needs setup, similar to Sheila, but she's busted.
>>3635004>>3635005I will try that out later, but it all sure sounds inferior to just using Kuruha's skills twice instead of buffing herself on paper. But who knows, maybe Nazuna can one-shot people with all that super duper damage.

Whoa, it's actually called a hamlet instead of a village?! Hackika, la creatividad?!Unfortunately I wouldn't know if that's due to sub-par's translation improving or hakika actually learning that villages aren't two houses in size. Either way, massive improvement over Blight.

For Thirst, it's hard to tell how far into the game I am. Is getting the 5th member the halfway point or less?
>>3635211Yeah, I think that's around the halfway point.
I wish Colony's base theme wasn't so melancholy.
>>3635285I like blight and colony's hub themes the best. Blight is the best overall though, it's just so damn catchy.
>>3635287It's a good bgm, but I really would prefer a more upbeat song while hanging out with the gang. Rabi can be talking about milking you dry with her log legs while the BGM makes it sound like a main character just died in the last cutscene and everyone is quietly mourning.
>>3635291>main character just died in the last cutscene and everyone is quietly mourningMakes sense because Emela and Auris would nearly get Manatank killed from exhaustion everytime the two trigger some of their H-scenes. But yeah, the theme sucks, but not in a way that it's horribly composed or anything. It just reminds you how bleak the situation is, and looking at Lestea and Auris's situations doesn't help it either.
>>3635299What would have been kino would be if after everything was resolved in postgame it goes from minor key to major key(?I don't know music theory) and the tempo increases a little to make the same song more upbeat and hopeful. Maybe replace the sad long drawn out chello(?) notes with an acoustic guitar or something.
I liked the Colony bgm. It's very fitting for explorers who are digging through ruins, passing graves, and discovering dark secrets, and there are more upbeat tracks in the few places where friendly creatures live.
How do you start NG+ in Colony again? I started a completely fresh playthrough and forgot I could spare the spider on a NG+.
>>3635313Iirc you have to go back to where you fought the final boss
>>3635314I think you're right but I appear to be retarded and can't even find where that is. I figured it would be "forest of light" or something like that but nothing looks familiar.
>>3635322Should be Nemiela, then if you go south of the transfer sword there's a shortcut immediately back there

>>3635326So apparently NG+ carries over all your gear and stats and I didn't want that. If anyone wants to spare the spider with a clear slate turn on Control Flag 0004.
It's probably best not to thing too deep about it considering it's just a game mechanic, but I wonder what exactly Guardians are, how they're "made", and why they're never plot important. Functionally immortal, retain their memory between revivals, but never seem to do much other than chill in the middle of nowhere and "protect their friends".

>>3635733>money>for jelliesWas not using the workshop part of your run as well
>>3635738I mean, without consumables you would just run out of SP and HP on turn 5. To beat her without those I would need to grind at least 5 more levels. I think it's more representative of a "fair" fight and playthrough to use healing items than come and bulldoze her with stats instead of reacting to her skills and healing/guarding appropriately. I would also go crazy grinding this excessively for each boss fight. Besides, I used only 3 life jellies, that's completely within reason even for realistic RP and is the amount you find in the world at this point.
>>3635743Fair enough, also my bad if i sound like a dick for pointing out the obvious. So a mix of limited item use and proper level
>>3635738>workshopI'm still glad that at least hakika lightened the material grinding for some items, especially jellies. Blight was such a pain in the ass when it comes to crafting Ultimates
>>3635746Oh, if you meant why didn't I just craft jellies instead of buying them is because it's a pain in the ass. The trader is right near the warp sword, but to craft things I need to go inside the house and approach the anvil. It's much easier to buy them. Like for this boss, I needed 6-7 shit bombs, and paid 2k for a set of 10. Now if I had to go downstairs and craft them? Very much a waste of time.>>3635760I honestly think this whole gathering business is pointless busywork design-wise. Look up where to go, teleport, run around looking for bright spots, exhaust the vein, use the time forward abi... — what you don't want to spend 7 points for this?, okay warp back home, go all the way to your bed and sleep, now do it all over again. So much fun. Reminds me of Kamidori.
>>3635668>retarded>ticklish>loves headpatsShe's perfect...
Imagine how unstoppable the girls would be if MT learned how to become like a battery and charge up the girls with mana during battles.
>>3635769>paying for shit bombs and Life JellyUnderstandable, but Energy Jelly? Screw that, collecting a 15-20 flowers won't hurt as long as i can save 8000+ gold, could have spent it on armor instead. No problems with Faint Mana either since i get plenty from enemies.>Kuruha's time abilityThis rather worked in favor for me, Kuruha being "gimped" can make early fights a bit harder.Yeah, design-wise speaking it's utter dogshit especially you can only make weapons at postgame. Can't say i enjoyed it myself but i did smack an untold amount of Guardians for gear (and each party member at that). At this point it all boils down to the player's personal autism and wanting to have each one be fully equipped, but the whole process gets a bit better each game. Hopefully after thirst hakika will finally allow MT be able to craft stuff anywhere, anytime without going back to the base
>>3635849For Energy Jellies that's fair, but only because of their massively inflated price. I really prefer Asylum's system of forgoing crafting altogether (other than hunting monsters for shard drops). Regarding Guardians, I only bother grinding the ones whose accessories might be useful for progression, and since most aren't, I only kill them once. One real issue I find with mainline series is that guardians and bosses only drop accessories (which are glorified stat sticks really most of the time). Asylum did well with adding lots of cool shit to the game that you get from fighting optional enemies, but the fact the drops are random in it is very off-putting. The best way would be for the boss to drop its mana, and you have multiple options to craft from it. Yes, it's soulslike approach, but certainly that's better than having to kill the guardian 4 times (12 if you want at least 4 copies) or pray that you get what you actually want from it this time.
>>3635870Guardian stuff gets better in colony onwards. Colony has guardian brands on top of the accessories (and they’re basically the best brands for a long while), Asylum has all those great unique equipment pieces as you mentioned, kludge has parts and accessories for each guardian, IR has Asylum’s system (but you can only get one copy of each, for some reason guardians don’t respawn in IR), and thirst has Asylum’s system on top of a soul rope for every guardian (and farmable guardians return, and only 1 drop is required for all crafts).I feel like blight and awake are the two games that just completely fumble the guardian accessories, except for the postgame ones which are busted as fuck. Sword-Shaped Key in blight and Dark Iron Key in awake are just way too good.
>>3635877Fat freezing gluttunous fuck
I never use consumables.
>>3635902How do you beat anything that requires shit bombs then?
>>3635935I shit on them myself, like a man
Consumables? You didn't beat the game
>>3635902>>3635950If you play normally there is no reason to. Skills from your support characters are mostly just better and you probably beat up bosses very fast since you don't have to waste turns healing on your damage dealers. Coincidentally that makes the game very boring and played like a typical fantasy JRPG (you mash normal attack and use powerful skill from time to time). But for a solo playthrough, you actually have to learn the game mechanics, learn enemy moves and overall interact with how it works at a much deeper level. Consumables go from "lol what a useless waste of money" to "without healthy jellies this boss is literally unbeatable". This approach is not for everyone, but at least it turns dull RPGmaker clicking through endless menus reasonably fun.
>>3634619Nazuna is not plain. She is kind, sweet, and exceedingly beautiful.
>>3633813I get it because that is how I feel about nazuna. I haven't been this committed to a waifu since Pati in Lunar Wing twenty years ago...
There have been multiple times throughout these games that I've had to turn on easy mode
>>3635668Ok so i'm really curious now. In awake, she's an air-head sure but on a mission given by the yin yang, she's shown to have capable detective and tracking skills. Being able to track Clar down base on his biology and behavior. It was brief but it shows why she's one of the 100th of the yin yang, not just because of her swordsmanship but her sharp senses as well.To all of the weeb bros who's finished Thirst, did Hakika completely forgot about this aspect of hers? A simple yes/no would be suffice.
>>3635986But why though, the games aren't even that hard
>>3635991>grind in postgame for 10 hours just to beat a single boss so that I can see a single h scene or 2 lines of lore>or turn on easy mode so that power scaling is manageable it's not a hard choice
>>3635997>10 hoursThat's a pretty gross overestimate. You don't need to grind that much in these games, anon. At most you'll spend an hour or two getting to max level in each of the games, that's all you need to get all the h-scenes. Sure, you can grind more if you want to do the superboss dungeons, but that's just if you want to play more. You can't even turn on casual mode for them either.
Here's a little pop quit for you, how many of Mana tank's partners never had scene of them riding him cowgirl or reverse cowgirl? or extra hard mode, which of his partners actually have a favorite position and what is said position? See you tomorrow, homework is due at 11, tartiness will be face evil god Saxa
>>3636002>that's all you need to get all the h-scenes. >Sure, you can grind more if you want to do the superboss dungeons, but that's just if you want to play more.Olivia was locked behind a superboss
>>3636017Yeah. I was considering the bigger postgame bosses in the games, like the incarnations of mana in blight, fae heroes in colony or kludge's big postgame boss for Olivia's scenes. In all of them, you can do everything required for scenes comfortably if you reach at least level 80-99. You don't even need reincarnations in all honesty.
>>3635988I don't know I just want to fuck her
World peace!!!
>>3635988No, Nazuna actually does have her moments in the game a bulk of the others go to Uula and Prim honestly the only one who feels neglected this go around is Mana Tank himself if not for Dire talking every once and a while it's a bit easy to forget he's there.
>>3636067Thanks anon. Very helpful.
>>3635988Forget no, but since she's the "leader" this time around a lot of her contribution to the party is "let's go do x!" and being shounen. This is probably the most perceptive party in the series too so the competition is stiff.
>>3636090She's so retarded, I love it
>シルバーです。ティレマ・リエマ、アニサ・ランフィリー及びエスピア・ラートルと同じ…… >>エスピア・ラートル (Espia Raatol)Seems there's another silver ranked Miruess Army member we'll be meeting in the future.
>>3636100Manatank has his own fair share of scenes (Yuuyami, the dreams, etc.) but boy it does feel underwhelming compared to previous titles
>>3636100I think it's both because he's a self-insert and a bottom. Even if Hakika turns him into an established character, what can you do with docile cattle waiting to be raped like MT? Definitely not main character material, that's for sure. The only times MT has taken an initiative on anything is when he makes the active decision to fuck the boys.
>>3636120>main characterDefinitely out of the question, even i can agree with that.>establishedNot really with an identity, but hell if hakika's gonna put a not so blank, present self-insert with an "important" role then he should not let him be a sitting duck in the slightest while making his presence feel active
I wish Hakika would do something with the sex MT is having other than him being a mobile battery and comedic moments.
You will never be a strong, independent man(character). Now go back to sucking mommy's breasts.
>>3636131IAmFree!
>>3636131Yeah. Mana Tanks belong in bed, preferably with a girl riding them.
>>3636131I never finished that game, I heard her scenes were focused on mommy stuff or something, right?
>>3636135That's just an edit, right? Who is this? Outoku? Lolibaba? Uula?
>>3636137Yes, but her schtick is she's only a shotacon because she desperately wants to become a mom herself and have her own kids with Mana Tank. You see that in her final scene.
>>3636140I'm not telling, I'll leave it as a surprise. It's part of the fun.
>>3636123Right. Compliments here and there about how he improved their weapons in the forge, letting MT choose the adventure late-game when everything becomes less linear, have him randomly grope and molest the girls back at base now and then, Have more sidequests where he does handywork, just overall being the man of the house and have the girls acknowledge it. Or hell, just having one of them comment on how they don't need coffee in the morning because of last night's "dosage". Just anything.
>>3636144>molest the girls back at base>that one instance where MT tried to assault Rabi while she was sleepingI felt bad for both. But it's also sweet how Rabi still wants to continue, she just doesn't like the non-consensual part
>>3636142Do you think if they had a son she'd try to fuck him?
>>3636154It's a possibility. But I'd imagine not.
>>3636154Absolutely, but hakika's jap mentality will never let him admit it.
>>3635313WE COULD SPARE THE SPIDER?
>>3636142She’s a shotacon? So what she makes MT use fairy medicine in a bunch of her scenes?
>>3636163Yes
>>3636161Yes. NG+ only though. It’s a secret.
>>3636161>>3636165It's weirdly the ONLY NG+ story difference across all the games. I don't know if sparing her is canon or not, but Solte "living" is at least according to one of Hakika's Q&As. She's off wandering...somewhere, apparently.
YOU'LL NEVER TAKE ME ALIVE TEN, I'M GOING BACK TO HAVEN
>>3636131AAAAAAAAAAA NOOOOO>>3636137She ''accidentally'' drugs you with fairy medicine and repeatedly finds excuse to rape you in ownerless beds.
I'm pretty sure I'm under leveled due to skipping a lot of fights and not getting the spider boss exp right before this section, but it's actually amusing how hard this boss is if you can't just blow him up in 5 turns. Have to make sure his turn 2/7/13 triple hit doesn't debuff Lestea or Emela and tank their damage and it still does a good 1/3-1/2 of Auris' hp when she's guarding. Wide guard needed to protect against the AoE hit or you're going to waste a lot of time healing up. If it lands the poison AoE attack it's pretty much game over since you don't have a good way to remove it and it reduces your attack by 25%. It's probably doable at level 9 but I'm going to go grind another 3 levels so Lestea's damage doesn't suck ass.
Shouldn't Olivia have forced Auris to take some bridal classes? She's never going to get married like this.
>>3636226Considering Beryl notes Auris has poor table manners and wrongly assumed she eats like an animal as a rebellion against her family, I think it’s safe to assume she rejected some of those basic courses. She lacks etiquette and wordly knowledge, the journey in Schisma showing she didn’t even know mushrooms are commonly poisonous. Olivia likely tried to have someone teach her that but as a typical teenager she’d reject those things.
>>3636226The player marrying any of the heroines is one thing but are there any instances of any of them actually considering MT as a marriage partner? Not just as a lover, but the whole husband and wife package, along with having children. Bonus points if she imagines them having a happy life
>>3636251Olivia is the only one that comes to mind right away. She goes from "Please fuck my daughter" to "Guess Auris is going to have some siblings soon" real quick. Other than that I think Kuu is the only one that outright says he wants to have Manatank's babies? Rabi gets really affectionate in Colony but I don't remember her suggesting marriage or children.
>>3636251Nazuna in Awake instantly goes into babymaking mode
>>3636274Do not breed the fox godDo not breed Kuruha (demigod) either.
Damn you Vastas scientist fucks, you can't just drop something like this and delete the rest of the information.
>>3636251I would say Sheena and Maria both imagine this. Sheila does take MT as her husband in her bad ending. Both Faria and Olivia's final scene has them practically begging to be knocked up. I am convinced Yanie instinctively wants children but would kill herself before ever admitting it.
Forget MT, i want to know more about my nigga Dire.
Ok, I beat Kludge and now my second favorite sequel behind colony. I'd like to ask why this game gets hated on so much, or not very fond of? As Colony had better (being a four-party team) characters for sure and an overall better plot. However, overall, I enjoyed the story and didn't find anything I really disliked about the game, except parts with the open world area.
Not sure if this might be of interest to anyone that played Thirst already.
>>3636353Context? It's been a while since i played colony.
>>3636327Elmea-sama, hear my plea and suck me dry to fucking death
>>3636372Lestea's aalma(probably spelling wrong)"massage"/prostitution.
The Fat Knight of Stunlocking vs the Oily Hambeast. Who wins in an eating contest?
>>3636374Oh, now i remember that onehttps://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/AnmaI'd say the "prostitution" part was rather because she was taken advantage of most of the time (she sadly tells you this during her last bond). But i do believe she wasn't THAT kind of worker to begin with.
>>3636383"Happy endings" are apparently par the course based off her first scene.
>>3636389Well shit, now i stand corrected. Now suddenly her refusing to come back to Shikinowa makes so much sense
I feel like this is a bit of "throwaway" dialog that'll be important at some point. Mana has to be stored in special containers or it apparently dissipates or something. We know that "loose" mana turns into monsters per Kludge, almost like water condensing. Maybe there's something acting as a Life Phial out there that's causing the world wide mana drought? Maybe Egg wasn't the only one fucking with the cycle. And who the hell developed and spread these far and wide? Aeon? Aurum company didn't have access to Az until very recently.
>>3636410You mean something that's constantly absorbing/erasing Mana? Depends on the perpetrator, i feel like there's still much more before we can even draw a speculation. And what exactly is Dire talking about in there
>>3636416Ah never mind, i think it's Beryl.
>>3636416>>3636419Auris is taking a tour around Manatank's workshop and notes there are Life Phials in the workshop as part of the crafting supplies the clinic already had stocked when you moved in. This event only involves Manatank, Dire, and Auris.
>>3636422Slightly unrelated question but since Beryl travels all alone by himself, was it shown at some point how he deals with monsters and threats? At some point he was probably forced to defend himself.
>>3636425I mean he's a she now, and women are good at fighting, combined with having a long long time to train. My assumption is he probably stealths past most things but can easily fight if need be. Also has the entire might of the Aurum company he can swing around if need be. We know they hire adventures for combat duty from the one immortal mana scene in Blight and Uula had a company robot that was set to search and destroy.
>>3636427>being a woman gives you automatic buffs and advantage>but on the other hand, poor mana affinity as a man>lawless world full of monsters>and if getting milked forever is the same as death then life is pretty much pic relatedMaybe getting erased by Sheena wasn't so bad...Also i assume that some men could probably fight just as good as women but seeing that they're near extinct, i figure that wasn't the case
>>3636432That I am aware of, there are only 3 combat competent human males in the modern era. One is the other leader of the Aurum company and Pretty's dad, but he's like in his 40s based on his sprite so probably not at his peak anymore. The second is Lars, who was a successful adventurer for an undefined amount of time capable of slaughtering an entire village of human "civilians" all by himself and then spend an undefined amount of time(years?, decades?, centuries?) bashing his head against the wall in Asylum until he was finally able to take down a boss all by himself. The third is Kuu, who is both a Kuume and was a female barbarian, so double not human I guess?, in addition to getting a taste of Manatank's mana which is probably a borderline steroid.
I obviously know the real reason, but this seems like a really stupid policy in hindsight. You'd think Auris' family would be attuned to nearly every sword in the kingdom just to do their rounds around the place.
>>3636441You know what, considering Ada presumably never escaped the island, she was probably lied to and the transfer sword she touched was never connected to the network at all. Probably told she was to return after completing her mission but with no actual intend to let her escape.
Man, Colony is really damn good on a second playthrough. So many things you get to piece together the truth of. Like the mines were likely worked by "pests" and human (accused) sympathizers. The mines are filled with the bones of innocent, just not the way Auris assumed.
>>3636438>Manatank's manaI don't know how accurate the namu wiki is but >power to neutralize poison>can cure diseases>Schisma in generalThe last one was in colony and where did the other two happened? And i still think there is more than MT's mana being able to counteract the Domain of Infinite Mana's hazardous terrain, something along the lines of anti-magic/Imagine Breaker nullifying ability
>>3636444Solte's grave? The location seems appropriate. I don't know what the Japanese line is, but I wouldn't be surprised if "disturbed" would have been better then "damaged" with proper context.
>>3636447His mana assumedly "cured" whatever Frabi had wrong with him post-operation that left him mute. That might be what they are referring to with the ">can cure diseases" part?
>>3636447>SchismaIs this the part where his cum was used as an ingredient to cure Auris, Emela and Lestea's curse or am i mistaken
>>3636447He was also immune to Pheros' mini-brand of Ronis iirc.
>>3636452He was in a dream-like state during that time, right? Wouldn't it be because his main body wasn't affected
>>3636453Oh right, I forgot it was not-time travel. It could be that. If it isn't outright state, it's kinda hard to guess considering Manatank was physical enough to fuck the three and ejaculate mana just fine.
>>3636318People dislike kludge since the story is a bit rushed towards the end and the characters ultimately aren’t as good as blight, awake or colony’s. I did enjoy the game a lot regardless and I think it’s easily better than awake. Personally colony > kludge >= blight > awake.
>she got into the main seriesIno in SEQUEL whenManatank befriending Ino whenMalice can stay away though
>>3636459Malice will come eventually.
Now that pokemon are official rapists, will Hakika make more monster collectors like IR???
>>3636478Honestly i see no reason why Malice would go after MT, other than his mana but it's qualities aren't that important save for the healing part
>>3636478Did Malice show up in Thirst (or hinted she's around the corner) or is it too early to tell?
>>3636495No. There’s a different cameo in thirst
>>3636459>>3636478Why is Malice not around? Is there a reason given?
>>3636526Too much meat for Mana Tank to handle. He wouldn't survive the encounter.
>>3636526Because she’s fat and ugly and nobody likes her or wants her shitting on MT’s chest

>>3636601Yes, and?
>>3636432Alzhett’s Knights from Colony and Lars from Kludge reinforce that men can become powerful individuals.I’d wager that women have theoretical higher upper limits but in an era of scarce mana the differences between men and then fell off.
>>3636120Talking MT could've worked. See MITY's 4 Elements trainer Avatar/"Mana Tank". He's a faceless avatar impersonator with a sarcastic asshole personality and has some of the funniest lines in eroge. I prefer that over a mute MT

>>3636619>4 elements trainerNo. That would be even worse.
MT works best as he is kludge onwards, an autist with a sex pest side who acts coy at times but there's just something about his demeanor that tempts rational women to rape him.

>>3636709I was hoping we could see Ino in thirst. Maybe in the next game.
>>3636711That's what he claim
>>3636318Because they expected something at least close to Colony’s. It’s arguably the game with a plot right below Colony but it gets shat on for the wasted pitential. Most of Blight’s plot is a fetch quest, and that is what becomes of Awake’s plot midway through. Colony set up a new bar and Kludge benefited from a lot of foreshadowing. But then it ends not being what people expected. The Tjuermas get speedran, we only visit the inside and meet other humans once, most of what we do is guerilla warfare only once getting the optional shot of a fight against their overhelming numbers, the Resistance barely mattered, the Recruitments also didn’t have impact in the end (imagine if to infiltrate one of the last based the friends you made along the way would work as a separate unit to distract or save you) etc.Colony did most of its plot well and the scarcity of NPCs is justified with Schisma being a war-scarred land. In fact, most of its complaints are in the post-game.Kludge had a lot more potential that wasn’t used which drags it down

I like the visual storytelling of Lestea's blindfold having a bit of scar tissue peaking out. Given how insecure she is about it she's probably unaware of the asymmetry. If she comes back in the future with the new art it'll be cool if that changes now that she has friends.
>>3628944Is there any information about the guy translating it?I would rather just give up on sequel now if it's just going to be edited mtl
>>3637033He’s an anon from /hgg2d/ that adopted a name for the f95 thread he made. He originally posted the demo translation on /hgg2d/. You can play it yourself, but I think it’s safe to say it isn’t MTL, given the conversation near the end of the demo with Ten where they discuss all the monster types in Shikinowa such as kaii. Any MTL would butcher that completely, so seeing it translated properly was a good sign if you ask me.
>>3637049Okay, that's comforting as I was mostly worried as he had no history I could find. But I guess all the great translators we had in the past started as nobodies but the rise of mtl and the wide embrace of it by the community just makes me wary of everything now

>>3636890I think there was some fanmade art a long while back that was made to look like one of hakika's scenes. I feel like it got taken down at some point, but I think it can still be found on sub-par's discord somewhere.
>>3636890Please do not have sexual relations with your company boss. (I don't know if MT actually starts to work at Aurum Company)
>>3637170Spoken like a true underling. I'm gonna fuck your boss now.
Sequel: Thrist
I remember having a little difficulty with this fight, but not this much. Level 20, can't grind out any fire resistance or water attack brands. Best you can do is toss the single fire resist ring you have on Auris. I'm even remembering to use shitbombs against her.
https://ci-en.dlsite.com/creator/1121/article/1259382Results have dropped for the poll>Ten is the most popularSasuga
>>3637277I was about to post it myself, damn. Here are the full results though>most popular characterPrim, followed by Outoku.>best side characterTen. Followed by Nao, Awayuki and Tsuzuri.>best scenesOutoku won this easily. Prim and Tsue were up there too.
>>3637277>>3637293So >>3628821 was right. Outoku and Prim are the best
>bunny acting strangeWas this ever expanded? It's obvious that Yanie's definitely have something to do with them
>>3637328It’s implied Yanie was one of the murder bunnies that you fight as the boss at that mana ranch. She probably got sick of it and left to go get dicked though.
>>3637339Considering blight's postgame, that would likely be the case
sex with murderous women
>>3637342Her reaction to being married is still one of her best moments
>>3637347Someone post the webm
>>3637364
>>3637006>>3637013God, Prim's Prims.Shame about her personality.
>>3637380How bad is it
>>3637388Heartstopping
>>3637388That anon is implying she has a bad personality, I’m not sure why. Personally I loved her.
>>3637277Ten sweeping the side character poll is interesting. Wonder what her inevitable scenes will be like. Hakika says he's surprised Nazuna didn't do as well as he expected, but I feel like he kind of sandbagged her with the early scenes she has that are focused on her being deliberately not herself. People wanted lovey dovey humble fox scenes and only really get that with her final scene. Not sure why he did that. Nice to hear that Outoku is up there with Sheila and Olivia though. Horny kot good.
>>3637388She's not bad but I can see how it might rub some anons the wrong way.
>>3637416>but I feel like he kind of sandbagged her with the early scenes she has that are focused on her being deliberately not herself>People wanted lovey dovey humble fox scenesI'm sorry anon can you explain both of these a little more? I don't really get what you mean by either of them.
>>3637425Basically, Nazuna's thing in Thirst is that she's trying to deny being horny for Manatank, so her first few scenes happen while she's either sleepwalking or under the influence of a lewd curse. It's less interesting than how Awake had her as naive but interested in sex and kind of repeats the same character arc too. What people generally wanted was the Nazuna from Awake who ended up horny and possessive, and she doesn't show up for a while. By contrast, while I think Prim has a narrower appeal than Nazuna, Prim is who she is from the jump so if you're into her scenes, you'll have a good time. If you're into Nazuna, you have to get through the early scenes to get what you probably wanted.
>>3637429I too found that aspect of Nazuna’s side story and early scenes pretty odd. It was even weirder to me that you have to unlock one of the oriental succubus’s scenes midway through Nazuna’s relationship. I’d even argue Nazuna’s side story was not that interesting compared to the others in my opinion. Outoku, Prim, Uula and Aruko had the best side stories by far. At least Nazuna more than made up for it with the quality of her later scenes, which was up there. But it took a while to get there in the first place. I liked the intensely kissy mating sex, the condomed paizuri and the magical puppet scene.
Any news on the translation of innocent rules?
>>3637501Latest reports indicate that it's substantially gay
>>3637501https://github.com/ZigmaZero/innocent-rulesThe list is filling up at a decent pace. 46/125 scenes done now.
>>3637517Thanks for posting this, still 46 out of 125...Any chance that it gets fully translated in the next 6 months?
>>3637538Given that he did 40 in about 2 months (from August until now), it should only until January or February to finish the rest. I would hope.
>>3637328>>3637339I remember an anon pointing out her pose here >>3637342 was really close to one of the bosses of the PREQUEL games but I don’t remember
>>3637610I refound that in the archive, I’ll quote it>Yanie’s backstory seems to be that she used to work as a murder bunny at a Mana Ranch that was different from the one you visit. She probably got sick of killing, so she started going for men and mana instead.>Also one thing I find interesting is that her pose in her boss battle in blight is similar to the one for the murder bunny in Ruinswald. Both are facing to the left with a claw down. Hakika’s a damn tease.
>>3637632Awesome
>>3637632Yanie was so thirsty for human men she evolved to be more appealing to them.
Is it just me or is thirst significantly harder than all the other games? I don't remember having to strategize this much before the postgame before.
>>3637665It's pretty decently hard in the main story. There are 3 bosses in particular that are tougher than the rest, you'll know them when you get to them. I thought the postgame was a lot easier than usual though. Probably because it's just the prelude for what hakika's adding in the next update.
>>3637450>Nazu's 1-3 bond storyI'd say it was hakika trying to add a bit more to Nazuna so at least it won't just be all about being in love with Manatank. It was good enough, though it could have gone better. The last one (i think) where MT showers her with praises was romantically sweet
>>3637450Yay! Lovey mating sex with Nazuna! I am so ready for this translation...

>>3637805All I know is that she's a lemonade dispenser. And I look forward to it.
>>3637807Yes. She has two lemonade scenes for whatever reason. I still like her despite not liking lemonade myself.
>>3637808It's time for your daily intake.
Ten won the poll for new scenes over brown fox, now I'm curious what it is about her that made them want to lewd her and if we do i wonder if we'll see her face or if she'll be another Shutaku
>>3637811Mysterious and gentle swordswoman(strong), must sex
>TsuzuriDid she get neuralyzed by Hakika or does she still remember Manatank? (including those scenes, of course)
>>3637823She still remembers Mana Tank, and she blushes as soon as she see him again
What's something that you wish was added to the games? Weapon art for special weapons would be cool
>>3637811>now I'm curious what it is about her that made them want to lewd herWell you have a lot of contact with her, so she grows on you. That's enough to want to see more of her, specifically the horny side.

Do you guys think Thirst will get a story patch similar to colony and blight content wise?
>Thought Kuruha and her group went back to Palgadol>She's causing a ruckus in another countryEven without the context am I right to be worried? I mean Awake's cast had a pretty bad habit of tearing shit up whenever they went to a new area
>>3637992Shenna is probably a half-decent tard wrangler when Manatank is busy elsewhere. I'm more worried about Rabi and Nyx out together and not on a leash...
>>3637978I think hakika’s planning to do a 2.00 update like that
>>3637856Her only friends are Shataku, Nazuna and Aruko. And Mana Tank, if you count him as a sex friend.
>>3637978Hakika said he's planning to do two updates for Thirst and 1.10 is apparently already bigger than he thought it would be. 2.0 will probably be a postgame story expansion like Alzhett/South Alzhett was for Colony/Kludge.
>>3638082Kludge never got a 2.0 update though, only blight and colony did, with Palgadol and Alzhett respectively. He skipped out on doing 2.0 updates for awake and kludge. From what we can tell, he seems to do a 2.0 update for the odd numbered games, so I’d hope this is true and we get one for thirst.
>>3638108He confirmed that thirst will be getting at least two more updates.

How much new content have the previous 2.0 updates brought?
>>3638348Perspective(?) makes her look tall-flat rather than loli. Your cropped version without the legs looks close though.
>>3638369blight 2.0 was the entirety of Palgadol. So a pretty sizeable campaign and 6 h-scenes (2x Lilia, 2x Vorpal-chan, green slime and blue succubus. Colony 2.0 was the entirety of Alzhett minus the Subordinate Island, that was from 1.10. So another sizeable campaign and 6 h-scenes (2x Lestea, 2x Olivia, 2x Kalie).
>>3638373The perspective looks fine, it reminds me of Inel's amazon press scenes from L.Depth
>>3638375>daughter's manYeah, about that...
>>3638379Mana Tank belongs to Rabi
>>3638382I can no longer unsee Jack goddamit >>3632988
>>3638495It's also funny that Fake-Rabi's hair color is even closer to Jack's, yet he just dyes and styles his hair to be like Rabi's.
>>3638375It's not clear how many scenes Hakika is planning to add right now. He hasn't decided if he wants to do Ten's scenes for 1.10 yet, but if we go by the previous numbers she'll get 2. That would leave 4 for 2.0 if he still only wants to do 6. Not sure how he'd decide who'd get the 4 though. Why did Lestea get extra scenes in Colony?
>Saxa having a round globe on her home>But Ordowald is confirmed flat>"Heehee, i wonder about that."....I'm onto you, you eldritch transcendent fuck. With hakika's autism involved, the chances are terribly low but never zero.

>>3638719Rifar.
>>3638747https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nEQeJOficaEFucking nailed it, though it was a bit hard with only Lv. 99 with no reincarnations. Maria's secret art and Nazuna's Flash crit came in clutch
>>3638755I only got the scene for losing to her and then forgot to fight her again until I was done with Gramtoa. She died in 1 turn.
>>3638758>after GramtoaKek, understandable. I barely have any worthwhile gear on my party and i still managed to pull through. Goes to show how easy Awake is compared to others.
>>3638523>Why did Lestea get extra scenes in Colony?I’d assume by popular demand. She was easily the most popular of colony’s new girls (Rabi mogged them all) before Olivia was introduced. Then the update came out and Olivia started mogging the rest of colony’s cast sans Rabi and Fake-Rabi.
>>3638742I dunno. It'd be unfortunate if the bunny didn't get more scenes at least. He wasn't mentioned in the latest post at all though.>>3638820Interestingly, Hakika mentioned Rabi didn't mog the new girls in Colony in his latest cien post. He said he expected Nazuna to do better in the polls even though recurring characters typically get less votes than the new ones and specifically cited Rabi getting less votes than the new girls in Colony as the previous example of that happening. Going off that, Lestea was the most popular girl in Colony outright. So far for Thirst Prim and Outoku are basically tied, though Outoku apparently crushed the best sex scenes part of the poll without much competition.
>>3638541That isn’t true at all, the Asylum adventurer was just some schmoe from Wen Marsus
>>3638931Yeah I didn't know what's up with that, also why was there a Miures Army uniform in Versa's house, was it there purely for fanservice or Hakika implying something
>>3638989I think it’s just that the Miruess Army uniform drifted into Asylum from elsewhere, like how the adventurer newspapers did.
>>3638541>>3638931Wasn't it heavily implied the adventurer leaving behind notes had been executed for being/going to turn into a sin monster and didn't remember it till he got around to the post game city? Then assumedly realizing he was a figurative/literally monster broke his heart and he died a true death.
>>3639083Yes, it's also implied he was the one that's under the grave in the sanctum. Anons in the past have talked about how he's supposed to be the character representing the sin of Pride, given that nobody else in the Sanctum represents that.
Okay, hackika, what is the lore explanation for this?
>>3639175I too wondered what the hell was up with that sequence
>>3639175They're just all relics from a bygone era, aren't they?
Drained.
I understand why Ten is a fan favorite now.
>>3639280Is she a gentle mommy? A closet sadist like Tirma?
>>3639285>gentle mommy>closet sadistWell we'll have to get her scenes with MT first before that stuff can be confirmed or ruled out. Best description that I can give is that she's a loyal follower that will take good care of the people around her. Very sweet and sincere, but she's also willing to put her foot down and kick ass. Could have been a main companion
Medicine doesn't even look like a real word to me right now...Working through the map items right now, which should bump the finished map/total count up a whole bunch on its own once I'm done with that.

50/579This would be at least a bit bigger of a number were it not for the fact that there's an "Escape" ability for getting out of dungeon type areas (aka; basically anywhere you can't Mistwarp)At the very least, I'm pretty confident I've gotten all of the randomized collection points sorted out, so I shouldn't have to worry about that anymore. I'll no doubt be proven wrong by like, one spot in the game, or something. That's just how that works.
been out of it for a while, mostly just checking the bin, whatever happened to subpar? just burnt out of it now?
>Game has very hard choices
Thirst has a bit of an unsatisfying ending
>>3639980I was satisfied with it since it WASN’T an ending with a world-destroying threat this time around. Final boss and her theme was great too.https://youtu.be/kFpB2r7Uamw?si=wceAD2-XocHtm7eOThere’s a bit more after the ending as well, I’d argue the actual “final boss” is at the end of the postgame. It’s the one you get the proof of mastery from.
Now that thirst is actively being TLed where do you guys think the bunny femboy will end up in the Donut rankings?I think the rankings will be:>Frabi>Clar>Bunny guy>KuuI believe Bunny guy will overtake Kuu because Kuu never managed to reach his full potenial as a yandere maid.
>>3640006Bunny will probably be at the bottom for having a whopping two scenes neither of which involving actual penetration

>>3640095Yes, that would’ve been nice too, but I think it would’ve been too easy if that was the case.
>>3640001Maybe it's just a difference in taste or maybe some parts lost in translation for me.I am in agreement that the music was really good. The writing was even better than most of the other games. Around the same quality as Colony's writing. I haven't done postgame, so I can't speak on that. I will probably put the rest of the game on hold until future updates and possibly full translation.
>>3640140I'd do the postgame now, it's not too long so it wouldn't be that hard to get it done now. It's incredibly easy to reach level 99 in this game too, similar to how Innocent Rules had it.And yeah, the writing was great in this game, practically on-par with colony's. I think the cast in this game is even stronger than colony's though, they have such great banter.
I'm getting that deja vu from jap readers hyping up thirst and comparing it to colony. the same shit happened with kludge, so you guys better not be lying.
>>3640163>I'd do the postgame now, it's not too long so it wouldn't be that hard to get it done nownormally I would, but I was holding off on other recently released games because of Thirst.>I think the cast in this game is even stronger than colony's thoughyeah, I agree with that too. Hakika did a good job on fleshing out the main party, and a few side characters were pretty good too. Most of the h scenes were not to my taste though
>>3640181well I've already mentioned some of the things that I don't like about it a few times ITT, but Thirst is a pretty solid game. It's some proof that Hakika has learned from some of his past mistakes. It's certainly above Kludge and Awake as far as story/writing.
>>3640181You'll just see when you play it.
>>3640183>Most of the h scenes were not to my taste thoughwhat games had the best h-scenes in your opinion?
>>3640282Blight has the best ratio between good and bad h scenes for each main party member. I guess that might be because Hakika branched out more to other fetishes in the games that followed. Other than Kludge, there's usually at least 2 or 3 girls with all good scenes in each game imo. Awake had a lot of good scenes because the cast was huge. Asylum had some great scenes, but also a couple of the worst. For context: I prefer the flat, small, and medium sized boobs characters over the big and gigantic boobs characters. Personality is obviously a factor too, like Prim
tfw no cute brown mechanic to slobber all over your face
>>3640329Man, kludge really did not hold up as much as i expted it to. It's the most recent sequel game i've finished and i've already forgotten the names of glasses, mommy fetish, crotch window and brown anal. Usually i remember the names of 90% of the main cast.
I think kludge has some of the best scenes in the series, next to blight and awake
MT has some nice looking feet
>>3640439insane take. The fact that you were able to post this will be cited as proof when alien civilizations debate whether or not humans have free will
I Finished the main quest for Colony and now the game is telling me to finish the clinic scenes before progressing any further, while the hen is giving me an option to scale my characters up to level 70. Should I do it?
>>3640558Postgame has some character spoilers and assumes you have done all of Auris' and Lestea's events iirc. Level scaling is up to you, but the first island you go to can't be returned to for awhile and there's a guardian you will want to farm for unique character brands.
Does Hakika not like full nelson? MT has never fucked any of the small girls that way.
>>3640571Also, the three fairies are bosses now, should I do that first?
>>3640602I don't know their proper level rec but if you complete post-game and come back you'll probably wipe the floor with them. They're probably balanced for lvl 99 no reincarnations? Colony has weird progression because Saxa's dungeon is intended for 3x reincarnation but came out before postgame, which is why the set to level 70 thing is there. Postgame also has far better equipment than what you get out of it.
