I liked it as a kid and still replay it every couple years but I can see why you wouldn't if you tried it as an adult. It is open world, but comes from a time when open world was a lot closer to rail roaded than it is now

Fable came out 20 years ago it's like WOW Classic, a game that's fun because you have memories of playing it when you were 10-12 years old back when it was new, I'm 32 years old and I have 3,000 hours on WOW Vanilla and have beat Fable like 8 times, I go back and play it every few years. If you're a zoomer then yeah it probably won't have the same effect, especially considering how some of these games have aged. A lot of these games are carried by millennial nostalgia and there's nothing wrong with that.

Even then, the game world is extremely small, far smaller than what you'd get in a Zelda.Exploration is fun if you appreciate the quirks in this small world and just go with the vibe of the game, but it's always dictated by the story and the story is pretty lame. The game just might not be for you, and that's okay.
