Also notrpg BUT I HAVE to mention old Harry Potter games.When I was a kid, escaping reality into a fantasy world of wizards and spells and that sort of stuff was probably my juiciest form of escapism. I longed for that a lot, which is why I loved Harry Potter.Those old games (coupled with some nostalgia) are extremely comfy for me personally. (PS 2 era artistic direction of games in general)

borderlands 2/3. it has levels, skill trees, character classes, and gear: it's an rpg deal with it. that said, tiny tina's was NOT comfy. seriously i can't remember the last time i played a comfy open world rpg otherwise. ultima 9 was comfy af but it will never be on steam so i shan't be playing it again. oh wait last open world rpg i played was dragon's dogma and it was kinda comfy despite having to play using a fucking game pad. trying to aim a bow using that stupid joystick on the ps5 type controller is really shit.
