Just bought this. I don't know anything about 40k but have wanted to get into it for a while. What am I in for?
snoozefest.
>>3661104Bugs, poor quest design, unclear quest and dialogue triggers, subpar writing, subpar combat, poor leveling system.
plastic crack and an autistic community that will get mad if you don't paint your figurines and actually try to come up with broken strategies
>>3661104This is not how you get into 40k, holy shit this post actually made my blood boil
>>3661124it is you can be a retard psyker that asks what a psyker is owlcat babyproofed it.
>>3661132Either play the beer and pretzel games, play the RTS, or play the slitherine published games. Hell, blood bowl is a better intro to what GW is *really* about lol
>>3661104>I don't know anything about 40kHere you go, anon, here's everything you need to know about 40k.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gBgXH7eyRo4>Milord, our entrenched positions are being charged by orkz.>Splendid. We shall abandon the positions and counter-charge them, uphill.Based.
>>3661132>it is you can be a retard psyker that asks what a psyker isBased Ultima reference by Owlcat, the trve saviors of cRPGs.
>>3661120I hope you get raped by a pack of aids-infested niggers, bugman.
>>3661124Then fucking hang yourself
>>3661161Do you think this is something a mentally sound individual would say?
>>3661192Do you ever remove that cock from your mouth?
>>3661104Mediocre game to be honest.
People here really hate RT huh, what are /vrpg/ approved cRPGs?
>>3661333Pretty much all jrpgs.
>>3661333I'll play it and enjoy it at some point. The Pathfinder games have demonstrated that it's good to wait a bit for all the bugs to get properly ironed out
>>3661333>People here really hate RT huhI’m waiting to play it until it’s done being patched and getting DLC because Owlcat releases buggy and unfinished games.
What a shame, the game looks so neat.>>3661124Then how do I get into it? All the other games are strategy games (which I don't like) and I don't care about the tabletop. I'm only interested in the world and Rogue Trader seems to be the only RPG set in it. I guess Space Marine also looks fun.
>>3661124I disagree, RT does a lot to help you understand the setting without having to read a bunch of mediocre novels. By the end of the game you'll understand quite a fair bit of 40k's narrative.
>>3661192he's just upset that i'm a namefigi liked this place better in proto /b/ when everyone was using a tripcode except on the /l/ board and never really agreed with anonymous culture in the first place, and my writing style is so recognizable i don't even need a tripcode, i tend to hit the character limit, be like whatever, and just ctrl-x my most recent paragraph ctrl-v and keep typing at lightspeed
>>3661347>the settinglollmao even
>>3661340>>3661338>>3661333I'm about halfway through it now and haven't come across any bugs yet.>>3661346Don't listen the the haters, Rogue Trader is good. I've been pretty surprised by how well the game has captured the tone and feel of the 40k setting.
>>3661644>the tone and feel of the 40k setting.I hate what the 40k fanbase has become, this is so gay
>>3661646Mate, if you're still playing 40k then you're the gay one. That shit's a dumpsterfire now and has been for years.
>>3661346There's hundreds of novels, some of them are even goodI recommend starting with Eisenhorn. It's probably what's going to get adapted anyway now Henry Cavill and Amazon have sorted out the creative differences
>>3661104I have been playing it everyday for like a week now from when I get home to when I go to bed so just warning you it's addictive and good
the game will receive a huge update in December, you should wait to play.
