Some of them remain. One dude recently recommended me a genuine 9/10 (maybe im still in the honeymoon phase) RPG I not only haven't played, but haven't heard of. (Knights of the Chalice 2)

Some patricians with pedigree still remain, their voices are just burried deep beneath anime/jap faggots, porno game coomers, morrowind casuals and other stupid fucking sub humans.

I haven't been posting for a couple years myself. Came back recently since I deleted all my social media, to scroll a bit in free time.

It's simply a game that is not for everyone. And I don't mean that as an insult. It literally got greenlighted as a project from the beginning to be as alien to existing High Fantasy worldbuilding norms as possible. The result is a fairly unique RPG game, true, but also a game that will never appeal to the majority of High Fantasy fans.
Because it is quite niche by choice.

And then comes its age, rigidness and technical shortcomings, compared to what we have nowadays, to worsen the situation. And the cherry on top is the unsatisfying combat where on one hand it gets treated dynamically (the attack has to be initiated and clicked by you) yet on the other it takes agency from the skill of the player and gives it to the game (damage and percentage to hit).
Morrowind is a...weird game. But like all niche games with something to say, it has acquired a strong cult over the decades.
