>>3685545I have no evidence to support this at all, but I do feel like Square Enix will be slightly less petty in the future than, say, Bethesda - Obsidian, because Japanese culture tends to be more respectful of competition than the west. A collaboration with the OG devs is possible, imo, espevially when the ideas dry up and they start getting hammered harder for making shittier FF games that no one wants to play. They'll eventually chase that money and nostalgia, because it's easy.
