>Hello there citizens of Erdrea! It's me, the Luminary, hero of the land, slayer of the Lord of Shadows, restorer of light and the World Tree. Now I know the world is once more a bright, happy and living place due to my actions. I see that so many of you have, despite the hardships endured, found hope and perseverance. Many of you have used these events as catalysts to change yourselves for the better, becoming more appreciative of life, more honest, learning the value of hard work, building better lives for yourselves or turning your lives around from your being petty low lifes or children living in squalor in the capital's slums. Even my own companions have found a strength within themselves that the previously never knew existed and become better people for it. Well, dear citizens, I am here to say fuck all of you. I am erasing all of it. All of it. Every last bit. I giveth and I taketh away, all so I can go back in time and marry a little girl. For you see, I am the goddamn Luminary and I fucking love, need and DESERVE cunny. Fuck you, enjoy erasure faggots.I really think Act 3 could have been done a little better desu

>>3689920The survivors eventually move on and find new strength in their new situations. The girl in Downtown Heliodor for instance who's no longer living in a dirty slum but a nice community with a boy she adores. Or the thief who turns his life around finding purpose in taking care of the girl who's cat you rescued at the beginning of the game. Also some of the revivals make zero sense like Michelle whose death happens long before the point you're going back to. It's like the complete opposite of the Maruki shit in P5, running away from the real world, destroying it for one that is only superficially better.
>>3690008A big theme of DQXI is that even if the Luminary failed, people would still step up and be heroic so of course they depict people finding strength to help others and move on. But 99% of people would resurrect their friends and family who died violently in a freak accident over keeping whatever “growth” they experienced from it. Agreed on Michelle though.
