share some hidden jrpg gems, the more obscure, the better. non-translated titles are also welcomed.
Has anyone else played Ever Oasis? I played it for a couple hours but I never got far because you can only get hit three times before you have to load a game so dungeon crawling is a pain in my dick.

I have no idea if it's good but I remember enjoying this game as a kid.

>>3691349Skyrim
It filtered the fuck out of critics for being (evidently) absurdly difficult. But really it's just kind of got a weird curve and doesn't really explain itself as well as it should have maybe. But once you wrap your brain around what the game expects of you it's pretty a neat and unique srpg.

Lost Dimension is really good and not enough people know about it
>>3691349I'm trying to figure out what game is on the background? Looks familiar.
>>3691371damn dark necklofar looks cool
>>3691371>Soldiers Desirewingis this this game?it's weird whats the story of the game
>>3691349Exile, Emerald Dragon, Princess Minerva, Legend of Xanadu
>>3691846Xanadu and Exile are hidden now?And I know for a fact Xanadu is no gem.
False Skies plays like one.
>>3691849At least as much as everything else posted ITT. Legend of Xanadu isn't the original Xanadu, in which case you'd be proving its obscurity. Regardless, 99.9% of non-Japanese people only know either at most as a title on Falcom's Wikipedia page.
>>3691349Labyrinth of Touhou 1 & 2 - Dungeon crawlers with weak dungeons and random encounters, made up for by some of the best boss fights in the genre. Unique combat system built around switching a main party of 4 with a reserve party of 8. Interesting character building with like 40+ characters, all of whom bring something unique to the table. 2 is easier to recommend than 1 but both are good. Both games also have gigantic, stupid grind walls for their true final bosses when prior to that point you hardly need to grind at all. Stop playing 2 after Yamata no Orochi which is where the story ends anyway and you won't miss anything important.Potato Flowers in Full Bloom - Relatively short dungeon crawler with good dungeons and a top shelf combat system where you can always see what the enemy intends to do next turn and need to react.Dungeon Travelers - A series of dungeon crawlers roughly on par with Etrian Odyssey in quality. Great dungeon designs, consistently dangerous enemies, and above average combat. Opinions vary but I think 1 is a lot weaker than 2 which is a bit weaker than 2-2.Astlibra - An all around great platformer RPG. You play as a hero who comes into possession of an artifact with the power to time travel. It's a rollercoaster ride of plot twists. You get new abilities and skill points for mastering equipment, which incentivizes you to use everything and makes it exciting to find new items even if they suck. Enemy AI is on the simple side and chugging healing items is more effective than I'd like, but overall I would say the combat is good too.
>>3691924And some RPG Maker recommendations:Hat World - An RPG combining SaGa-like combat and character building with sidescrolling platformer exploration. Has a solid battle system and plenty of challenging boss fights. There are six campaigns to play through and its stories are full of wild plot twists and incredible showmanship.Demon King Chronicle - Exploration-focused RPG. Doesn't have a lot of dialogue, but what's there is good. Has solid, attrition-based gameplay, and a unique and strategic equipment system. The English version is no longer officially available, but you can get it here: https://archive.org/details/demon-king-chronicleBackup download link: https://files.catbox.moe/l02ghi.zipEnchant Farm - An exploration-focused game, conceptually similar to Demon King Chronicle. Takes heavy inspiration from King's Field and Souls games. You play as one of 8 elementals and must break a curse of immortality on an inescapable island. Its unique combat system is solid. After a first playthrough you unlock tactical mode, which is highly recommended.Ruina: Fairy Tale of the Forgotten Ruins - Dungeon crawling RPG inspired by tabletop RPGs. Great exploration, thick atmosphere, lots of choices in how to handle events, and outstanding lore writing. Its one weak point is its use of RPG Maker's poor default combat system.Helen's Mysterious Castle - Great and unique duel-based combat system. Lots of charm. Its character building system is based entirely around equipment and gives the game plenty of replay value. It's only about 5 hours long and a blast the whole way through.Standstill Girl - Similar combat to Helen's Mysterious Castle. Not quite as good as Helen, but it's worth playing.
>>3691924>Astlibra>greatLMAO
>>3691926Liar Jeannie in Crucifix Kingdom - By the author of Standstill Girl. Party-based dungeon crawler where you control two human characters and can summon up to two defeated enemies as undead. Good combat and interesting equipment strategy. Has the best status ailment system I've ever seen in an RPG.Some H RPG Maker games:Black Souls and Black Souls 2 - Free roaming H RPGs. You can turn the hentai off if you want. Easily competes with the top tier of WRPGs in terms of choices and consequences. Very strong in exploration. Combat is above average for RPG Maker but nothing amazing.Takamakuran games - Namely MY]R, A New Game, and The Mercenary's Adventure. An interesting set of H RPGs with hidden depths and a lot of personality. A New Game is easily the best of the lot, but the other two have their own merits. MY]R is extremely combat-focused, with minimal story. A New Game is very story focused for its first half or so. The Mercenary's Adventure is about halfway between the two.Asylum - A side game to the Sequel series, compared to those, this is lighter on dialogue and heavier on gameplay. Very open exploration, similar to Demon King Chronicle and Enchant Farm. It's an H game though the H scenes are 100% optional.
>>3691928A few more recommendations:I don't know if it counts as a JRPG, but Konami's Cave Noire for the Game Boy is a cool little game that feels a bit like a hybrid of a traditional roguelike and a puzzle game. The original Shiren the Wanderer is another great J roguelike. It has a system that allows you to keep items between playthroughs which you shouldn't use. Success is largely a matter of good resource management. Your enemies tend to be really powerful but your finite supply of consumable items is also extremely strong.
>>3691493Best out of the 3 titles
>>3691371These look cool. Anything playable to EOPs in this list?
>>3691940Unfortunately no. The dev of WPP is making a remake with En translation atm but this surely will take a while.
is last story a gem?
