What are some RPGs with interesting magic systems? I'm talking either unique systems like Treasure of the Rudras, or lots of spell variety and effects like the Baldur's Gate games.

Are there any spells you particularly like? I've always enjoyed Wish and Polymorph spells.

Either spell slot based or limited by mp. All others are variations of it. Cheeky ones might say that the first is an iteration of the other or vice versa.

The Trails games have a pretty fun system where you mix and match stones that grant you different powers based on your combinations.

Shroud of the Avatar
it has a complex decking system that gives loads of variety on builds and spellbinding. probably the most complex I've seen.
worth a play once you overcome the games flaws

Ultima VII, just for the way you have to mix reagents and make the spells yourself
