How do I beat this fucker in Saga Frontier? Im at the part where you leave the Cygnus as Red and have to go back and find the generals and this guy is kicking my ass. Do I just leave and come back later? I don't know how Saga works. Someone told me to try Red first but I got stuck. Does grinding even do anything or are techniques more important?

Stats are important, yeah. Go do some sidequests or something, learn some new magic, you'll level up while doing it.
Last time I played, I did beat him first try, but it was pretty tight. He was a big jump up. Might be worth to get some healing magic.
