Recently been getting into RP through multiplayer games rather then TTRPG's, I enjoy it a lot more at times but so many of them leave a lot to be desired. Things like WoW have an in-depth system at least for MMOs but for every 1 actual good RPer you've got 50 in-your-face annoying ass stereotypes ranging from futa draenei, main characters, edgelords, everything. Essentially I just wish there was a community out there with some quality standards and knew where tf to find it.
>>3695354When I used to RP on Roblox from about my early teens to my late, honestly all RP communities have these stereotype players, Primarily in the post-apoc scene they were rampant. To actually find a good RPers I recommend starting a faction or gang to filter out all the edge lords, something like a trader’s guild or fisher’s.
>>3695354There are communities like that. Me and my guild's RP branch switched from retail to Epsilon WoW. There was a vast increase in quality of the RP. I am not saying it's gonna be 100% hits, but still better than Argent Dawn EU on retail. Lots of guilds with open recruitment

Back in the day it wasn't as socially acceptable and they did it behind closed doors at the very least, but nowadays everyone is so open about it that it makes my skin crawl.>main charactersThis is probably a trope that you can't escape, given how many narcissists there are in RP. This is especially bad in community-hosted games/servers where the admins can enable themselves/their friends as the 'main character' in the setting.
