I am not really feeling this game. I played Dark Cloud (1) for the first time around October and really enjoyed the shit out of it. It was a really simple game but addictive and had a cozy and nostalgic feeling from those early 2000s games. Now 2 on the other hand seems bloated. There is a lot more shit to do, but most of these things do not seem to be particularly fun, and they constantly interrupt the flow of the game (which is, for me, the dungeon crawling, weapon upgrading, and town building). The game is way more paused than because building towns is more "complex" and you have to grind for items or money to buy those items in order to build the towns. In contrast to DC1 which was only you getting the geostones from dungeons and placing the buildings on place and characters in their houses. Also, the whole recruiting thing, which ironically make somehow the towns feel more dead, because you never find nobody walking around depending on the daytime unlike DC1. Every character is always stuck in their houses. The whole "take pictures of objects" for crafting later, because it is the most effective way to play instead of wasting all your money or experience on shit you can get for free. Also, the spheda shit, holy fuck...It also is more story-heavy, but the story it's not like the story is particularly well-written. It is pretty bare-bones, a story for a kids game. It was also like this in the first game, but the story was pretty short, it didn't interrupt the flow of the game too much, and it was clearly just an excuse to implement the fun gameplay. Here is like they tried to put more emphasis on a "rich" story, but it feels like the same basic story from DK1 but with x5 more dialogue.IDK but is feeling really tedious to play, and I don't think I'm having fun
>>3699072That is fine, just stop playing. I will even help you.SPOILERS Griffon is a fucking FURRY of the bunny variety and is eternally seething so hard that his white woman crush died he gave birth to a manifestation of Evil bent on destroying the world. Oh and the future? You can just imagine the future, you never see shit about the future even when Monica comes back and lose time travel in the epilogue.About the last thing to do after that is to visit the old mouse friend from the first game at the end of Zelmite Mines who can only be beaten by ranged attacks.
