Being an aoe3fag truly is suffering
AoE3 was good when it was about European powers conquering the New World.AoE3 went to shit when they made the very first expansions and it kept getting worse every time. Now DE is the worst offender of all and the only good thing that's left about it is the absolutely fucking FANTASTIC soundtrack. No other game can remotely compete.
I still have the original here just to play Wars of Liberty, shame they won't go for the DE

It's a neat time period, but AoE3 does that fucking awful thing in RTS games where unit counters deal 5-10 times their normal damage against anything that they "counter," but then deal absolutely no damage whatsoever to anything else. DE has some neat ideas like Revolutionary France and the Royal Houses, but also a lot of really shit ones.
