I am getting absolutely HUMBLED by Diplomacy is not an OptionHow do i stop being a shitter?
>>1872359embrace the gookclick
>>1872359Embrace your inner boomer, constantly expand your economy and territory. Build houses every day, constantly be expanding your resources, get to Tier 2 ASAP, shit out Archers (at least 9 to 18, depending on how bad things are), then make infinite Crossbowmen when you get to T2. Never stop making Crossbowmen, they continue to work through to the end-game. ALWAYS BUILD STORAGE BUILDINGS NEXT TO RESOURCE PRODUCTION BUILDINGS! Your farmers, woodcutters and miners will walk to the nearest storage area, unless you want them walking half the map to your castle, place storage buildings right next to them. To be hyper optimal, set each storage to only accept the 1 resource it is next to, so you don't have idiot peasants clogging your iron storage with wood.Don't spam too many Level 1 Stone Quarries. Level 2 and above give a 2x multiplier to the amount of resources in the deposit (same with Iron), Level 3 gives a 3x. Once you get to Tier 2 (you did rush it?) then go spam them. Don't worry about depleting the resources on the map, you'll unlock infinite production buildings in the end-game. Don't bother pre-building defensive walls in the early to mid-game. You get enough warning of an attack that you can rush out a set of walls and towers in time.Army compositionT1: Archers with a few swordsman up front. (Swordsman are basically free to produce, sell them when you get to T2)T2: Crossbowmen with some Spearmen or Axe Men (personal preference). Support with Catapults.T3: Crossbowmen. Shit out Ballista and some Trebuchets. Build a Stable and produce Mounted Knights as your emergency "shits hitting the fan" button, these guys can tank an entire army and are good at clearing the map by themselves. Keep your few melee units up front on "hold", this keeps them in formation so they stop the enemy from closing into your weak ranged units, instead of being retards and charging the enemy and leaving gaps for them to sneak past.
>>1872471Thanks for the tipsI think i'm gimping myself by not developing my economy enough, i'm constantly scared of getting caught with my pants down because i went too hard on the economy and not hard enough on the defenses
>>1872359By buying an ad
>>1872359im between this and thronefall. not sure which one to pick (besides that thronefall is $10 cheaper).they're slightly different games, but both look to be fun.
>>1872359my peeeceee can't handle this game sooo I can't give you any advice
>>1872359ask devs to include diplomacy as a option
This, one of the 45 modded HoI threads died for this
>>1872591:(
>>1872359this is absolutely not how you design a game UI
The missions where you have to assault an enemy castle are the hardest for me. The other types all have some angle to exploit that make them significantly easier. I'm going to end up making a metropolis that covers half the map to support the army I need to storm Abbelore in time. I wish there were more options for offensive siege weapons.

Is there replayablility to this game
it is kind of difficult but i guess your best tool is the pause button.
>>1878265I didn't play much yet but i would say yesYou have a branching campaign, a challenge mode with 18(?) scenarios and 3 difficulty mode for each, a sand box and a endless modeIf you like the game you have some stuff to do.
>>1872471how do you sell swordsmen
>>1872518I tried both and since i'm a shitter, i'm enjoying Thronefall a bit more. It's less complex (unless you're piling up the negative modifiers), faster, and nice to look at.The system of perks and mutators is similar to The Last Spell, which i kinda like
>>1878272you can decommission them when you select them and get the resources you spent back
>>1872518get bad north instead
ozzys life drain move is ridiculous, what the hell am i supposed to do? is there a way to interrupt it?
>>1880119Actual fun tactical game. An expanded sequel is highly needed.
