Is this game finally finished and worth buying?
>>1872777I was asking myself the same thing. starter edition is $5 and includes DLCs Art of War and Rights of Man. checked btw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fe2s4NQPxqo
why would you buy some dlcs but not all, that's not how anyone plays the game
>>1872839seems very confusing for a new player to start with ALL the DLCs of a game
>>1872777Like 90% off for all the gameplay dlc. They probably won't have more than three or four more.A normal company would be finished but this is modern paradox s the'yll find a way.
>>1872777EU5 looks to be what EU4 should have been all along. Just wait for that.
>>1872843Not for any grand strat titleIf you're a new player and just want to try it out then buy the subscription or pirate it, otherwise you know exactly the kind of game it is and you want the full experience
>>1872845EVEN if its good (doubtful) it will take years for paradox to make it not bare bones bugged mess
>>1872845It's unlikely that a brand new game will be as polished as a game with years of DLC.Better plan is to wait 2 years after EU5 launch, then buy it.
>>1872777It's a living game. Won't be finished until there's a sequel and even then that will probably fail so they'll resurrect EU4.
>>1872777The Ultimate bundle being 43€ smells of end of the line. I bought it.But you never know with this greedy fucks.
>>1872874Hey, you never know. Maybe "Project Ceasar" ends up being a decent-ish game after whoever they put in char tardwrangle Johan and fix his mess.Like Imperator.
>>1872777No, it's too late, just get EU5.
game went to shit with common sense when the retards tied provincial development to mana.
>>1872777You don't buy games on steam. You rent them.Yes eu4 has been good for a while now, as good as it can be anyways; feel free to pirate it, buying the subscription or if you are that dumb, """buy""" the whole thing
>>1872777>pdx game>worthFuck no but it's still fun to play if you have severe autism and are a fascist
>>1872901johan has obviously learnt from his mistakes and you niggas are seething about something he said years ago lmao
>>1873108>this time will be differentyou tards never learn
>>1873109shut the fuck up, liqqyfag
>>1873108I believe when I see it.As of now I have no faith in him or his team.
>>1872777there is no reason to buy any of the dlcs when you can just use the monthly subscription thing for your yearly playthrough and be doneyes i know you can creamapi, but i am talking if you want to buy
>>1872777>BuyingGame's literally for free. And last time it was playable, it was pre-covid>>1872855>>1872862This is your brain after playing EU4 and Stellaris.Stay safe. Stay clean. Just say no
>>1873234I'm close to seething because EU4 finally started getting not shit and now it's gonna be le nu-UI ultrastreamlined minimalist bullshit with the same template they used for the last five gamesAnd it's gonna be shittier for another six years
I pirate all my games.
I’m not buying a paradox game again that doesn’t include a pop system and economic simulation as part of its gameplay.
>>1873402>EU4 finally started getting not shitAnon, it’s not like Imperator where they killed it in its prime, EU4 started getting bloated and going downhill like 5-6 years ago and its glory days are long behind it. I’m actually excited for eu5 being a fresh start and that perhaps they’ve learned some lessons for their mistakes over the past X years.
>>1873589>perhaps they’ve learned some lessons for their mistakes over the past X yearsanon, at best they've refined DLC production management and scheduling. I'm sure there's 10+ years worth of milking planned down the line, it's going to be their GTA5
>>1873826NTS but I have no problem with DLC if they are like once a year, have a lot of content and are reasonably priced. But we know how Paradox is. Three times a year for $20 and just some events and mission trees.Oh, nowadays in HoI 4 they are charging almost 40 dollars for 3-4 mission trees. So I imagine that is what is planned for EU V.
>>1873902I can imagine base EU5 not even have missions to make DLCs forNot like that wasn't similar in CK3 with societies and shit
>>1873581More left for me
>>1874014yep better buy now before all those digital copies run out of stock
>>1873589I have no problems with their DLC system, pricing, etc. Everything is perfect and I will pirate every single one of them while eating for another sale from humble bundle>>1873589Game is good now or at least as bad as always. Stop being a contrarian faggot, is disgusting, you are feeling nostalgic over literal dogshit.
Fun fact: None of the Paradox games have any meaningful DRM, so when they have a free weekend you can download the game and then copy it from your Steam directory to somewhere else and just keep it. EUIV is having a free weekend right now, so if you're iffy about buying it you can just take it for free lol
>>1877450>you can download the game and then copy it from your Steam directory to somewhere else and just keep it.Don't you need Steam to launch the game?
>>1877453I'm able to launch the copy of Victoria 3 I got when it was having a free weekend without Steam running, I'm assuming EUIV will be the same.
iIs the ultimate bundle for eu4 worth it? I mostly play Stellaris and HOI4, a bit of Vic 3 and CK3, but I haven't tried out this one Paradox game yet.
>>1877453>Don't you need Steam to launch the game?Steam has DRM but only if the Devs of the game decide to put it in, otherwise the game just runs.
>>1877450but do support the devs a little bit if you like it
>>1872862>2 years4 years minimum. I'm downloading CK3 right now, hoping it's ready and was worth the wait.
