If everyone is pirating Paradox games, how are they still making games?
>>1878266by overcharging their paypigs
>>1878266>everyone is pirating Paradox gamesFalse assumption. Even on /vst/ most people buy the games, as shown by Steam threads. Sure some of them buy the game and pirate the DLC, but a sale is a sale.Despite what the obsessed shitposters would have you believe, all of the main Paradox games have very large fanbases on /vst/. Did you really think all of those Paradox games threads were made and populated entirely by people who hate the games?
>>1878266Map painters don't require amazing graphics so they're pretty cheap to develop and publish
>>187826690% of gamers don't even know how to pirate
>>1878326This. >Change few lines of coreBuy our brand new exciting DLC goyim
1. I pirate DLC I don't find worth the price (Stellaris, CK3, VIC3)2. I purchase dlc subs (Stellaris, Hoi4, Ck2, Eu4) and pirate dlc after a month with creamapi.3. I buy dlc only for games I mod (ck3)
>>1878326So what makes them slow down so much in late games ?
>>1879201CPU calculations, engines are just shit.
>>1878266normies are too dumb to pirate. Most of gen Z can't even take a screenshot.
>>1878266I sometimes just can't be bothered to constantly update a pirated game's version. It's annoying. Am I missing something. And also I want to support poor indie developers in their basements.
>>1878266because zoomer is too tech illiterate to download anything not from steam
>>1879201trying to run a billion troop calculations, economy, and dice rolls on a single core unoptimized piece of shit engine WITH plaintext saves
>>1878266>this guy thinks zoomers can open up torrent sites>this guy thinks millenialls aren't scared to open up torrent sites
>>1879424It's weird how torrenting kinda missed a generation. There are outliers of course, some zoomers will have parents or an uncle who teach them how to torrent. It's different in different countries too.
>>1879424>>187948640-something millennials are the ones running the torrent sites and doing most of the cracking, nowadays.
>>1879420imagine how smooth the game would run if they had a decent engine. i bet any rinky dink piece of shit cpu would be able to handle the game if that was the case, vgh.
>>1878266A significant amount of pirates pay for the stuff they pirate and become fans. They are also heavy hitters for word of mouth which causes people who would not pay for it go for it and pay. Also games are made for the first three months for profits.
>Despite what the obsessed shitposters would have you believe, all of the main Paradox games have very large fanbases on /vst/t. johan
>>1878266By having convoluted marketing model which easily confuses idiots (their main buyers) and makes them pay weekly salary for DLCs that they don't need>>1878324>False assumptionIrony at the finest
>>1878329*zoomersftfy>>1879201Shit-tier programming, duh.Their games are notoriously poorly written in terms of actual code, which wasn't a big issue in 32 era, but with 64, they wrongly assume that higher capabilities of the PC is going to cover for the fact their games quite literally don't compute themselves by late game thanks to having improper functions and using fucking 2-bit programming, running out of memory in zero time. I mean by I:R they self-admitted they have no proper coding team anymore.
>>1879424I'm pretty certain you have no idea who millenials are.
>>1878324>Reddit spacing>Shit opinionMythical duo.
